Hi again! Sorry for not updating in a long time. It really is no excuse, especially on Wattpad... I just need to stop loosing the power supply for my laptop! -_-
Anyway, I'm back online now... so enjoy :D
"You again!" Danny recognised the green-skinned, red-eyed ghost – Desiree, was it? – from earlier.
"Just thought I'd check up on you." Desiree smiled smugly, dodging Danny's attacks with ease. "See how you like the new and improved Jack Fenton, no?"
"Wait," Danny froze. "You're responsible for Dad's weird behaviour?"
"No." The wishing ghost shrugged. "He wished it on himself."
"Shut up!" Danny grabbed her wrist, which awarded him a big slap.
"No man shall lay hand upon me unless I say so, foolish ghost boy!" Desiree moulded her hand into a large hammer, but before she did anything, she shrank back suddenly with a grin. "But I need not bother with you. Others will take care of that."
"Others?" Danny frowned as Desiree began to fly away as a small wisp of purple energy. "Hey! Wait! What do you mean?"
A white flash of light barrelled into Danny from the side, knocking him into the alleyway to the right of the Fenton residence. Danny, badly hit and dazed, watched as a man, Jack, began running towards him, large gun in hand, shouting something that just seemed to echo in Danny's ears.
And then he snapped back to reality. "-aren't going anywhere anymore, Test Subject Alpha."
Danny tried to move, but found his arms and legs were bound with strange glowing white cuffs. He flinched as his father picked him up and slung him across his shoulder.
He couldn't go intangible; the cuffs seemed to prevent that. They stepped into the door of Fentonworks just as Danny had a brilliant idea.
He transformed back to human and watched in satisfaction as the cuffs simply dropped off of him. Then he went invisible, just as Jack turned in shock, slipping out of his grasp and running up the stairs towards Jazz's room.
"What the-" Jack stopped, and listened to the sound of Danny running up the stairs. He observed the door to Jazz's room swinging open and shut, almost as if by magic.
"Magic? No..." Jack muttered to himself. "Only ghosts asking to get hunted do that."
Danny threw open the door to Jazz's room, becoming visible once again. "Jazz, we have- whoa!" He tripped on a diary lying on the floor, and plunged headfirst into a novel's worth of paper stacked up neatly in the corner. Well, it was neat until Danny came along.
"Danny!" Jazz pulled her brother upright. "You nearly ruined my pile of birth certificates of other Jack Fentons!"
"Huh? What are you- oh." Danny looked around the room, his mouth parted in a little 'o' shape. "Don't you think that this is just a little extreme, Jazz?"
All corners of Jazz's room were filled with papers, books, diaries, piled as high as Jazz herself. Only a small pathway between them remained, from the door, to her desk, to her bed. If Danny looked closely, he could even see a couple files balanced delicately on the top of the fan.
Jazz shrugged, smiling innocently and running a hand through her hair, which was beginning to look slightly messy. "No. I told you, Danny, this is just a little side project." She led him to her laptop, where about six screens around the house were showing, one of them Danny's room. "I just need to find out what I'm doing so wrong. I've been wrong twice! In one day!" She paused. "But I haven't missed any ghost attacks, so that's fine."
