Chapter 16 zimmedari

Naina got up to check her fathers room and stood frozen. Rakesh was awake. his face was full of sweat and he was feeling restless.
Naina rushed to him and helped him to sit comfortably.

Naina : kya hua papa ,apki tabiyat thik nahi hai kya ? Kya hua Papa ?

Rakesh was feeling scared and nervousness : thodi bechaini ho rahi hai , chsti me dard hai aur tabiyat thik nahi lag rahi hai. Chakkar jaisa bhi lag raha hai.

Naina started sweating out of fear : Chaliye Papa doctor ke paas chalte hai. Main kisi ko taxi bulane ke liye bolti hun. Chachaji ko phone kar deti hun.
Saying so she rushed to bring the phone but was stopped by Rakesh.

Rakesh : Anand kal raat audit ke liye seher se bahar gaya hai. Tum idhar aao.

Naina : Papa ,main ek call kar ke aati hun , abhi doctor jyada zaruri hai. Neeche waley uncle ko uthati hun.

Rakesh : Itni subah toh doctor bhi nahi milega. Aur tum kahan jaogi. Tum pehle meri baat suno.

Naina unwillingly came to him and saw him with a questioning look.
Rakesh : Mujhe Sameer se milna hai. Mujhe ek baar usse milwa do.

Naina was hell shocked and looked at him not believing on her ears.

Naina : Ss..sameer se...

Rakesh : Tum raat me usi se baat kar rahi thi na. Maine suna tha. Isse pehle mujhe kuch ho jaye ,mujhe usse milna hai.

By now Rakesh had started experiencing some pain in his chest and felt extremely tired and uneasy.
Naina was too scared to think of anything or call for help.

Naina : Papa....main doctor ko bulati hun. Kuch karti hun.

She rushed to the phone thinking to call Tauji but out of nervousness dialled Sameer's number . She was hell scared but being alone at home had to act strongly for her father's sake. But afterall she was a daughter .
" Insan sabse kamzor waqt me usi ko dil se yaad karta hai jo dil ke sabse kareeb hota hai ".

In the wee hours of around 4 am ,Sameer was sleeping on his bed ,dreaming about his future with Naina and Nanu when the sound of telephone woke him up.

Sameer got up in his half sleep rubbing his eyes mumbling : itni subah subah kaun call kar raha hai.

Sameer : Hello.

Naina without hearing the voice of the receiver ,spoke urgently : Tauji...aap abhi yahan aa sakte hai kya ?...pls jaldi.

Before Naina could speak further ,Sameer shockingly jerked and sat up on hearing Naina.

Sameer : Naina , kya hua...tum is waqt call kar rahi ho , sab thik toh hai na.
Aur Tauji ko kyun bula rahi ho. Naina sab thik toh hai na.

Jab hum zindagi ki sabse kamzor situation me hotey hai toh duniya ke samne mazbuti ka mukhuta pehen lete hai . Par wo mukhauta us insan ke samne khud ba khud utar jata hai jisse humare dil ka sabse ander wala taar juda hota hai.

Naina couldnt control her emotions.All she could utter in choked voice was his name.

Sameer (nervously ) : Naina bolo na kya hua ....Naina main wahan aa raha hun.
Fear and nervousness had completely taken up Naina and she could jyst nanage  to speak about her father's condition.

Sameer immediately got up to get ready and said : Naina main bas thodi der me pahuch raha hun. Tum ghabrao mat.He immediately got ready and set off after informing and instructing Ramdhari.
Being wee hours of the morning ,it didnt take it much time and he was at Naina's house in no time.

As he rang the call bell , Naina opened the door and kept looking at him with eyes full of tears.
Sameer couldnt stop himself on seeing her teary eyes and hugged her. Naina too burst and started crying.
