Chapter 33 Haldi

Next day began with an action packed chaos in Agarwal house . Prachi had made fun of tree rituals and its supporters that evoked fierce response in Taiji . She complained to Arjun and Rakesh and tauji had to intervene to pacify Taiji . Finally Prachi said sorry to her to bring peace since she didnt wànt to be the source of chaos in a house preparing for a marraige.

Unaffected by this , Preeti remained confined to the room and was active only when asked to . Bela thought it to be a side effect of the incidence of engagement night and preferred to not disturb her. Naina did notice her changed behaviour and asked her for the reason.
After much request ,order , Preeti shared with Naina about Pandit's proposal .

Naina (shockingly ) : sacchiiii.....Pundit ne tujhe sach me propose kiya ? Ye toh bahut achi baat hai ....tune kya kaha ?

Preeti : Maine kuch nahi kaha.

Naina : matlab ? Tuney kuch toh kaha hoga na ....haan ya na ...kuch bhi.

Preeti shrugged : maine kuch nahi kaha . Par shayad wo meri baat samajh gaya . Usne mujhse kaha ki jawab ki koi jaldi nahi hai ...main soch samajh ke jawan dun ?

Naina : Toh tu kya kahegi usse ?

Preeti sighed : pata nahi....chor is baat ko . Bahut kaam hai aaj , chal chalte hai.

Naina stopped her : jab main Sameer ko avoid kar rahi thi toh tu mujhe uske paas bhej rahi thi....toh aaj kya hua . Khud kyun Pundit ko avoid kar rahi hai.
Aur agar dur hi jana tha toh usey seedha seedha Na kyun nahi kaha ?
Iska matlab tu Na kehna  hi nahi chahti hai par haan kehne se darr rahi hai .

Preeti : aisa kuch nahi hai...mujhe kis baat ka darr hoga.

Naina : samaj ka , pundit ke ghar walon ka , is baat ka ki log kya kahenge ....ya phir is baat ka ki tujhe sach me Pundit se pyar toh nahi ho jayega .....tu phir se pyar karne se darti hai.

Preeti got irritated : mujhe ye sab nahi malum...mujhe bas shanti chahiye .

Naina shrugged : wo aaj kaam pe nahi aayegi .

Preeti frowned : Kyaaaa

But after realising Naina 's joke ,couldnt stop laughing and seeing her in light mood , Naina too started laughing. Both shared some light moment and finally Naina said.

Naina : jab zindagi ki gaadi humare control me na chale toh usey bhagwan pe chor do . Wo jo karte hai usme bhi unka koi plan hi hota hai . Aur jab unhe  dena hota hai toh achanak hi de dete hai . Jaise teri veeran zindagi me unhone Pundit ko bheja hai toh kuch acha hi soch ke bheja hoga . Toh ek baar dil se sochna, apni khushi ke liye sochna .

Suddenly they heard Prachi calling Naina and both went out .

Sameer was getting ready for the rituals ,while Munna was lying on his bed busy in deep thought.

Sameer : hume bahar jana hai , aur tu aise taange pasar ke so raha hai.

Munna : so nahi raha hun, soch raha hun.....tujhe kya lagta hai .....Preeti haan kahegi ya Na ?

Sameer turned to him : ye toh Pundit ki kismat hi bata sakti hai ....par subah jab  yahan aaya toh uske chehre pe ek yakeen tha , aur uske yakeen ko dekh ke mera dil bhi yahi kehta hai ki Preeti haan kahegi .

Munna : achaaa....chal dekhte hai . Par filhal jaldi kar, teri pehli patni tere intzar me phadphada rahi hogi.

Sameer frowned : kyaaaa....ye kya bol raha hai.

Munna : arey bhai , Naina se pehle ped se shadi karega toh ho gayi na wo teri pehli patni .

Sameer ran after him angrily to hit him and munna ran to save his life . They kept on playing tom and jerry till they reached Nanu.
