ALICE'S POV:

I didn't know where I was going or how long I would be gone for but all I knew was that I wasn't going to let Charles speak to me like that. He didn't follow me but a part of me wanted him to. A part of me wanted him to run after me and apologise for how he acted and I walked slowly just incase he realised he was in the wrong and wanted to fix things. But he didn't.

I didn't stay at the paddock much longer, I called an uber and made my way back to the hotel. One thing was for sure. I was not staying with Charles tonight.

Once I reached the reception I made my way to the receptionist and asked how much a room would be.
$500. Fantastic. My dad had sent money to my card when I left for Monaco, I called him most nights but I hadn't told him about me and Charles. I didn't want to get his hopes up because I know Charles is his favourite driver and if I introduced them just for us to break up in two months, it would break his heart but he would also end up hating Charles for 'breaking my heart'.

I had usually been talking to my dad, nearly every night. I haven't heard anything from my mother or my younger sister, they were probably both gushing over my ex jack, taking care of him and helping him recover from the trauma of the breakup. I never understood how my mother took my boyfriend's side over mine. I was her daughter, her second born, her baby yet she still treated me like this. Just as I was thinking of my family I get a call from my older sister Lily. I quickly answer as I was eager to speak to her, to rant about my current situation and to see how she was doing. I always valued my sisters, there's no relationship like a sister's relationship, Atleast that's what I thought.

"Hey'' trying to sound as upbeat as possible because I didn't want her to worry. I had gotten myself into a sticky situation and I knew that's what she would tell me.

"Hello, mrs leclerc'' Lilly said and I could just imagine the teasing smile on her face as she spoke those words.

"Oh no'' I muttered. She found out about my relationship. I shouldn't be surprised as I knew she always kept up with F1 news.

"I'm offended that you didn't call me immediately to tell me about your hot new man'' I cringed as she said it. I wanted to tell her it was fake, a pr stunt but I couldn't risk it.

"It's very new and I didn't want to tell you incase it didn't work out'' I lied a bit too easily, crossing my fingers in hopes she would believe me. I hated lying to her but I had to make sure this secret stayed a secret.

"Well I'm happy for you and I also have some exciting news'' she giggled as she spoke and I knew it must've been important.

"Continue...'' I said nervously not knowing what she might tell me.

"I'm getting married'' she said slowly but once she heard me gasp she started to giggle.

"About time'' I fussed. Her and her boyfriend Ben have been together for seven years, we all expected them to be engaged much sooner in their relationship but they both wanted to take it slow and work it out when they get to that point in their lives and I guess now is that point in their lives.

"There's just one minor thing'' she stopped laughing abruptly to say. "The wedding's next week''

"What? Are you joking?'' I couldn't understand how they could plan a wedding in a week's time.

"No, we just want a small wedding and we kinda just want to get it over and done with'' she explained, Lily was never interested in a big wedding and it's not that big of a surprise that the wedding is on such short notice. Lily also loved to shock and surprise people by being unique and doing things that aren't usually done.

"And I want you to bring Charles'' she added before I could reply to her first answer.

"I guess I could, there's no race next weekend but I'll have to ask him and make sure'' I wrote down a reminder on a notepad that was lying on the bedside table in my new room. I didn't have my suitcase with me, as it was in Charles' room but I decided to just pay for the room and figure the rest out later and asking Charles to go to my sisters wedding is going to be another difficult thing.

"Perfect, try and be home on Friday morning, Wedding is Saturday, oh and you're my maid of honour. Love you, bye'' she made a kiss
Sound down the phone and hung up. I was slightly confused but couldn't help but smile at the fact she picked me to be her maid of honour.

After a couple of hours of lazing around on my bed I noticed it was almost 9pm so I decided to find Charles and try to speak about our current situation. It wouldn't be easy but we have a long two months ahead of us and I don't want to make it more difficult than it's already turning out to be.

I worked up the courage as I made my way down the hall to where his room was. I knocked once, twice, three times before I decided to give up and look somewhere else. As I was turning around to go I heard his door unlock and open. Nervously, I turn around to be meet with not Charles but the brunette girl Charles was talking to outside the garage earlier today.

She was wearing a hotel robe and nothing else.

"Emily who is it?'' I heard the all too familiar Monegasque accent say.
