ALICE'S POV:

As he drove through the streets on the way to Monaco I couldn't take my eyes off of him. Of course I made sure he didn't see me watching him, but he seemed to be a pretty good driver.

I couldn't help but watch his muscles flex as he turned a corner or how his hand moved smoothly to change gears, and my eyes drifted to the many bracelets on his wrist.

The drive hadn't been too quiet, Charles and I spoke every now and then, talking about how he grew up in Monaco and I told him about how I moved from London to Monaco for a fresh start. I did leave out the toxic ex boyfriend part because I only just met the guy, I didn't want to scare him off already.

"Hey could you stop in here, I just need to go to the bathroom" I broke the silence and pointed to a near by gas station.

He just nodded and pulled up in front of the door.
He watched as I got out and walked inside.

CHARLES POV:

As Alice walked up to the door of the gas station, I couldn't help but stare.
There was no denying she was beautiful, but I just got out of a serious relationship and I didn't think I was ready to look at girls that way.

As I tapped my fingers against the steering wheel I noticed she had left her phone unlocked in the passenger seat.

I knew I shouldn't touch it but I saw my chance and I took it.
I quickly grabbed her iPhone and scrolled to the phone app and went to keypad. I put my number in and quickly called it so it would be saved in her phone and also mine.
I then went into recents and saved my number as "Charles".

I know I shouldn't have but I didn't want to leave it to fate to decide when I could see her again.

I was snapped out of my own thoughts when I heard a door opening and Alice walking out of the gas station with two diet cokes and a packet of watermelon sour patch kids.

I laughed as she hopped into the passenger seat and handed me the Diet Coke.

"What is this for?" I asked as I looked down at the drink she had just handed to me.

"It's a thank you" she said with a smile, looking at me for a reaction.

"Thank you for what?" I knew what she was thanking me for but I wanted to hear her say it.

"Thank you for driving me, you didn't have to but you did, and now I owe you" she said and I noticed how beautiful her eyes were as I looked Into them.

I smiled as I restarted my car and drove us the rest of the way until we reached the streets of Monaco.

I caught myself staring at her more than I would like to admit, and sometimes she would catch me looking and I'd look away as if nothing happened.

ALICE'S POV:

As we reached the streets of Monaco I opened my phone and slid across to google maps to try and locate my apartment.
Once I did I told Charles and he pulled up in front of it.
I was about to get out of the car when Charles ran across and opened the passenger door for me.

"What a gentleman" I laughed as he bowed down like I was the queen.

After he closed the door behind me he took my suitcase out of his car and place it in front of me.

"Thank you again, I don't know what I'd do without you"

CHARLES POV:

"Stop saying thank you, it was no problem, and plus I got a free Diet Coke" I said as I lifted the can that was in my hand.

She laughed and looked down. God, that laugh. No. Stop it Charles, you can't think like this you just met her.

Alice snapped me back to reality when she said
"Well i better go it's pretty late"

"Yeah well I'll see you around" I was sad to be leaving her, as that drive felt way too short.

She turned around and stepped into her apartments lobby.

I turned and opened my car door and as I was about to get in Alice stopped me.

"Wait!" She said pretty loudly.

I turned around with a smile on my face.
"Yes?"

"Well Ive just moved here, I'm going to need a tour guide" she said as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. Although she looked like she was nervous.

"Oh yeah, of course, how about I pick you up tomorrow at 3 and show you around?" I prayed she would say yes so I wouldn't be standing here like an idiot.

"Sounds perfect" when she finished her sentence it felt as though a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders that I didn't even know was there and I couldn't help but feel the redness rush to my cheeks, I lowered my head so she wouldn't see how red I had gotten. How could her saying something so simple give me butterflies?

"How about I give you my number?" She asked and the second the words left her mouth those butterflies had disappeared and were replaced with worry. I had already given her my number she just didn't know it yet.

"Uh....no" I said and I instantly regretted it.

"No?" she asked and I could see the embarrassment in her expression.

"Well I know where you live, I can just pick you up?" I stated. Good thinking Charles, I thought.

Her shoulders seemed to relax as I said that.
"Ok stalker, I'll see you tomorrow" she joked after I said I knew where she lived. I laughed and nodded turning to get into my car and the whole drive home I couldn't get her off my mind.

"Merde" I whispered before I fell asleep
