Chase had spent all day at Hendrick Motorsports going from meeting to meeting to meeting.     Instead of flying home to Dawsonville like he normally would he headed to crash at his best friends house for the night and would fly home the next morning.

Chase had arrived at Ryan's house just as Bubba did.

"What are you doing here?    Figured you would be back in Dawsonville?" Bubba asks.

"Oh yeah I would be but I'm tooo tired to fly." Chase says.

"I get that.   Well Ry and I were going to play some poker and chill for a bit." Bubba says.

"Sounds good to me." Chase replies.

They both head inside the house.

"Where is Gi?" Chase asks.

"In Florida visiting her parents.    I thought you were heading back to D ville?" Ryan asks.

"I was but I'm too tired to fly." Chase says.

"Well you know you are always welcome here bud.   Come on in and let's play a few rounds of poker and drink some beers." Ryan says.

They sat down and started to play poker.     It was fun to just let loose for a bit.

"So Chase when are you gonna settle down and get roots with a girl?" Bubba asks.

"Gotta find the perfect one.    But that's a little hard when you have people just wanting to date you because you are Chase Elliott." Chase replies.

"Yeah I was shocked Ryan ended up with hooters girl and not you Mr Hooters." Bubba replies laughing.

"Yeah me too but isn't it in your contract you can't?" Ryan asks.

"It is." Chase says.

Ryan had the tv on for some background noise and a commercial came on promoting the Bachelor.

"Do you know anyone that could be suited to be our next bachelor, please submit their name at abc.com/bachelor." Bubba says mimicking the commercial.

"Oh my god that's what we should do!" Ryan say hitting the table with his hand out of excitement.

"What?" Chase asks looking at him.

"I should submit your name to be the next bachelor and that's how you can find love." Ryan replies.

"Umm that would be a no from me dog."  Chase says.

"No no Ryan is right.    Think about it.   How much publicity you could bring to NASCAR from doing it.    I mean you are the most popular driver." Bubba says.

"Bubba has a point.  You would bring a lot of new viewers to the races." Ryan replies.

"No.    I don't want to do that." Chase says.

"Ryan I double dog dare you." Bubba says to Ryan.

"What are we ten?" Chase asks rolling his eyes .

Little did he know that Ryan had already submitted him in for it.        They play a few more rounds of poker and then clean up calling it a night.      Chase crashed and the next day flew home as he planned.

A week and a half later Chase was back in Charlotte after winning a huge race and they were having a celebration .     He was in his office there doing a few things  when his cell phone rang.      He looked down not recognizing the number he was hesitant about answering but did.

"Hello." Chase answers.

"Is this Chase Elliott?" The voice on the other ended said .

"Yes it is Chase Elliott.... May I ask who is calling?" Chase asks confused.

"Yes of course, this is Jesse Palmer and I host the Bachelor.     Someone entered your name on the website and you were selected." Jesse says.

"For what ?" Chase asks.

"To be our next Bachelor." Jesse replies.

Chase spit out the Coke Zero he was drinking .

"Did you just say the Bachelor?" Chase asks.

"I did.    You are our next Bachelor." Jesse says.

"I don't want to do to." Chase replies.

"He will do it, just email us the information and thank you." Jeff says.

They hung up.

"Why did you do that?   It's impossible to be a Bachelor and a NASCAR driver." Chase says.

"Think how much exposure to racing this will bring.    It will be good for the sport and even better for you.    You are the the most popular driver think about it." Jeff says.

"Jeff you know I hate shows like this." Chase says.

"I would do it.    We can work out the details but I think you should step out of comfort zone." Jeff says.

"I mean I guess I don't have a choice since they picked me.     Remind me to kill Blaney." Chase says.

"Why?" Jeff asks.

"He is the one who submitted my name to begin with." Chase says.

"Well I am glad he did." Jeff says patting his back.

Jeff left and went to finish some things.      Chase finished up everything.     He then pulled out his phone and dialed Ryan.

"Hello." Ryan says answering the phone first ring.

"Why did you submit my name to be on the Bachelor?" Chase  asks.

"Cus you wouldn't get picked and it was double dog dare."  Ryan replied.

"Well way to go dumb ass, I was actually picked."   Chase says.

"You were what?" Ryan asks.

"Picked.    I got the call today from Jesse informing me I was the next Bachelor." Chase says.

"Wow, no shit." Ryan says.

"Yes how can I do both?" Chase asks.

"Does Jeff know?" Ryan asks.

"Yes he knows.     He wants me to do it." Chase says.

"You should bud.    You never know what can happen .    Let Jeff handle it and then you can do what ever it is Ryan says.

"I know but this is crazy.    I never did anything like this." Chase says.

"That alone should be the reason why you do it.    Step out of your comfort zone and have a little fun with it.    Besides you end up with 32 beautiful ladies pawing all over you?    Like how could you turn that down?" Ryan asks.

"I guess." Chase says.

"Just think when people find out you are the Bachelor they are going to think you can't do it.     There will be a lot of fuss here is your chance to prove them wrong and do it!" Ryan says.

"You are right.    I am going to do it." Chase says.

Him and Ryan talk a little more and then hang up.      Chase then talked to Jeff saying he would do it.      Jeff was setting it all up and would have it to him in a few hours.     Chase just had to wait there for what to do and when it would start.
