The Agnihotri Group of Industries, Headquarters, Advait's office.
Perhaps, agreeing wasn't a very good idea but he still did it.
It infuriated him, frustrated him, made him anxious and angry, but he was still doing it.
Because he fucking had to.
It was the only way out for him, from this mess, and he had to do this favour to himself. Her and himself.
The huge office building was almost entirely empty by now and he was all alone on his floor, waiting for his partner in this 'crime'.
But what made him uneasy was the possible arrival of his target, before the arrival of his partner.
Thud!
He heard a knock on his office's door, breaking his trance of overthinking.
Is she here?
He thought to himself.
-"Adi, you there?"
He heard a soft feminine voice from the other side of the door, making him realise that it was Sharanya.
He sighed in unknown relief at the thought and cleared his throat before saying,
-"Yes, Sharanya, I'm here. Please come in."
He said, a small smile making a way to his lips upon her arrival.
-"You know you don't have to be so formal even in my office, just come in-"
-"Are we ready, Adi?"
Advait and Sharanya spoke simultaneously.
He had voiced out what was in his mind, telling her to not seek any permission to come in. Meanwhile, she asked her own question or more like whispered as soon as she entered, her expressions stressed and worried.
-"Don't stress yourself, Calm. We're all ready. Now the only thing left is her arrival."
Advait spoke out in an attempt to sooth her, his words giving her the much needed relief.
-"Hmm, okay. She will be here any minute now, so I'll just be outside. Drop me a missed call when you distract her and take her inside the bathroom."
Sharanya said, giving him instructions about what he was supposed to do.
-"All the best."
She spoke further in an attempt to comfort him, clearly sensing his uneasiness.
