Chaeyoung saw Mina walking back inside the house. She furrowed her eyebrows, seeing Mina with a pensive face. This was her first date with Mark, why wasn't she happy? Did he tell her something before he left?

Chaeyoung sort of wished that Mark ended up breaking up with Mina but she knew that was too good to be true. She knows the boy is head over heels for Mina.

Worried about her well-being, Chaeyoung chose to approach her as she was removing her outside shoes.

"Miss, everything alright?" She stood there, watching Mina finish her task. Mina then walked past her, Chaeyoung's expression was now a confused one. "Miss?-"

"Don't fucking talk to me." Mina spat, making Chaeyoung freeze. What was with this sudden attitude? "I don't want you near me." Chaeyoung didn't want to push her buttons so she kept it at that. She stood in her spot, watching Mina walk up the stairs.

It hurt Mina to say that but she was just so overwhelmed. Mark is now aware that she wasn't fully interested in him. He even made her choose between him and Chaeyoung. She was confused on why he didn't break up with her if he knows she didn't like him at all.

Did he have something up his sleeve? Mina groaned, now regretting on even saying yes to him. Maybe her mother was right. Mark was definitely not to be trusted.

Chaeyoung's sudden confession wouldn't leave her mind either. Those three words kept repeating in her head, making it harder for her to try and distance herself from her.

This whole time she's been wanting Chaeyoung to confess, be open about how she felt. Now she's pushing her away because she was too afraid. Afraid of what Mark will do if she chooses her and not him.

She held her chest, feeling it ache and burn. Chaeyoung wouldn't stop being close to her, finding ways to be with her even when she wasn't needed.

It hurt her to push her away and to stick with the guy she doesn't even like. All of this was to tick off Chaeyoung but it seemed to have backfired on her.

She didn't realize that she was crying. She sniffed, wiping the rest of the tears with the back of her hand. She looked up at the bathroom mirror, seeing her masacra ruined.

She never thought she'll ever see herself like this. It was almost as if she had lost herself. She couldn't be her true self without her true lover. The one that had been there for her and never failed to keep her safe.

Chaeyoung was heading outside to do some patrolling. She wanted to busy herself since Mina wanted to be alone. Of course, Chaeyoung respected that though she wanted to know what was wrong. Was it her? Was it Mark? Maybe it was just another mood swing.

Her eyes landed on Mark who was still there. He seemed to be angry, shouting at whoever was on the phone. However, Mark was speaking in another language. She knew it was English but she couldn't really understand anything he was saying.

She started to walk closer, catching his attention. He groaned, saying some words then hanging up. He fixed his clothing, trying to act like he wasn't having a tantrum just now.

"I didn't know you were still here." Chaeyoung began. Mark faced her, walking up to her. This very moment she wished she was blessed with a couple of inches of height.

"This is basically my second home, guard dog." He sassed, looking down at her. "I can stay here for as long as I can." He brushed his hair back, smirking upon seeing Chaeyoung's glare.

She turned her heel, leaving the scene when Mark spoke again. "If you're heading inside, can you grab me a bottle of water? I'm sort of parched." He rubbed his throat.
