(I might've seem harsh in the first couple of author notes but I swear im a cutie)

I wake up feeling thirsty. The moon is shining so bright tonight I don't even need a light to navigate. I stand up from the bed and something draws me to the window, putting my hands on the windowsill I look into the distance. The forest looks so scary yet peacuful. Trees moving like the waves. But something is off. The more I look the bigger gets the gnawing feeling on the inside. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I step out of my room and everyone is shouting and running. In shock I join them. "Hey, what's happening?" I try to ask the soldiers around me but im ignored. That's strange.

We finally make our way out of the building and everyone is just standing outside, looking up to the sky. Confused on what's happening I lift my head up. Sky is sobbing iron tears. Missiles falling down like rain. As they touch the ground they ignite the trees around them.

The croud begins to run away from the fire and so do I. The fire is catching up on us. Suddenly the person running infront of me turns around. "Ro?" I whisper. But before I can blink he pushes me into the fire.

I jolt awake, my heart is pounding in my chest as I struggled to shake off the unsettling dream. Sweat clung to my skin, and I shivered despite the warmth of the room. With a shaky breath, I threw back the covers and stumbled out of bed, my mind still reeling from the vivid images that had haunted my sleep.

Seeking solace, I made my way to the bathroom and turned on the faucet, letting the cool water wash everything away. The sound of the rushing water was soothing, and I closed my eyes, trying to push away the lingering sense of unease that obstructs like a heavy fog. I walk out of the bathroom and glance at the clock, 4:38 AM. Just great. The early hour only adds to the weight of the day ahead.

I made my way outside the building. I took a deep breath, letting the cool breeze wash over me as I gazed out at the stillness of the predawn hours. The world was asleep, shrouded in darkness and silence. It was a peaceful scene, a shuffling forest, one that that on a average day would offer a sense of calm amidst the chaos, but with my dream still fresh I can't help but feel uneasy.

As I sat on the curb curled up and took a drag from my cigarette, letting the smoke spin around me in lazy spirals as I lost myself in the tranquility of the moment.

But then, suddenly, I heard it, the faintest rustle of movement behind me. My heart skipped a beat, and I froze, the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end. I turned slowly, my senses on high alert as I scanned the dark corridor leading into the building for any sign of movement.

At first, I saw nothing, only the empty expanse of the corridor stretching out behind me. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of movement, a shadowy figure lurking in the darkness.

Adrenaline surged through my veins, my pulse pounding in my ears. "Who's there?" I called out, my voice echoing in the stillness of the night. There was no response, only the sound of my own ragged breaths and the pounding of my heart. With a sense of dread creeping over me, I stood up, ready to make a run for it if needed. But just as suddenly as it had appeared, the shadowy figure melted away into the darkness, leaving me alone once more with nothing but the eerie stillness of the early morning hours.

Shaken but determined, I extinguished my cigarette and went for a walk. My mind racing with questions and fear. Whatever had been lurking in the darkness, I knew one thing for certain - I wasn't going to let it scare me.

As I continued marching my way as far from the back entrance as possible I kept turning around. With each step taken and the distance getting longer I became calmer. The surrounding forest silently shuffling, the light wind swinging my hair and rising sun painting the sky with a light orange color.
