The more i thought of it, the more it made sense the child was the key .although i don't know how..... yet!

Joel was outside when a taxi pulled into the drive it was Lorraine and Lucy, the little girl seemed surprised that the man who saved her life was letting her and her mom stay in his house... for free! for such a young girl she seemed pretty in tune with what was going on around her. I liked that about her.

 Joel immediately went over to help with the bags him being the perfect gentlemen would never let a lady carry anything. There were a lot of bags for 2 people who were only staying a few weeks , it looked like Lorraine was getting herself comfortable, too comfortable for my liking. She would smile seductively at him trying to get him to notice her but what she doesn't realise is Joel has moved on she has nothing he could possible be interested in anymore....................... unless the kid! The more I think about this the more I think she is trying to convince Joel that her little brat is his! but everyone knows she was a whore god only knows how many men she has bedded while still with Joel is he really that stupid that he cant see past her little game. Does he believe the child is his?? could she be?? I mean yes they were lovers so there is always a chance but ??? I have to find out the truth, if not for Joel then for my own sanity so we can finally kick this bitch to the kerb where she belongs!

"Thank you Joel for letting us stay with you it will be nice to have another grown up to talk to on these long evenings when Lucy is asleep" she smiled at Joel, "Its not a problem really, but I don't live here any more my girlfriend and I stay next door, but your welcome to coffee any time, Katelyn is a great girl and i'm sure wouldn't mind you stopping by" said Joel. Her face turned instantly to our house as if somehow she knew I was there looking out the window, of course I pulled away the second I saw her turning in my direction. Enough with all this hiding stuff I had to be at the hospital. I pull out my favourite faded blue jeans and white blouse, and ankle boots. slowly I try to dress myself my head still hurts from last night. it hurts too much to brush my hair so instead I just leave it down - just the way Joel likes it, he would run his fingers through it when were in bed and twist it around his fingers it always helped me sleep somehow. I go down the stairs and grab my leather jacket in the hall and my car keys. I cant see me leaving here with getting a random inspection from Lorraine and no doubt a few dirty looks to go with it!

Phone, hand bag and I'm ready to go ,I've watched Ross Kemp in Ultimate force often enough to be able to tackle a suicide mission to my car it wasn't that far from the door after all only 10 feet-" I can do this" I told myself positive mental attitude that's all I need! Slowly turning the door handle I brace myself for the outside. Its only a few steps I keep telling myself, I had forgotten all about the hi heels boots I was wearing - click clank! Oh shit!!!

"You must be Katelyn!" She spat "I must admit I'm rather surprised that Joel would have interest in someone like you", she sniggered "but I suppose you would have kept the bed warm for him- you have enough fat for it, I'm back now and I know how to keep him entertained he wont need you any longer for anything! she sneered. At that Joel appeared at the front door, "Kate, are you sure you should be up?? he asked caringly "I have to be at the hospital I have an appointment, I don't know when i'l be home"  I said rushing to get the car open,  damn remote key wont open it, all its doing it locking it instead of opening it! with that two strong arms wrapped themselves around my waist, "let me drive you, I don't like the idea of you driving not after you got hurt last night you could have a concussion baby" the way he spoke to me sent shivers down my spine he had the sexiest voice almost like Chris Hemswoth coarse but smooth and sexy as hell! "I'll be ok, I'll call you later promise" and pecked him on the cheek. got into the car and drove out of there as fast as I could!
