The student day has begun. This school is giving students a chance to relax and enjoy their college life amidst the numerous academic requirements they have. Students are free to have fun with their classmates and friends, socializing with other students by participating in various activities and visiting different booths set up by different organizations.
Mild, Mia, Thara, and Narrine were together. They had been eating for a while, as Mild was buying everything they passed by. Mild teased Mia because she couldn't relate, so they all laughed until Mild became serious.
"Since it's student day for a week, I scheduled our field trip," Mild said, catching the attention of Thara and Narrine, as well as Mia.
"Field trip? When did the org arrange that?" Thara asked.
"Just to change things up. The committee voted on it and agreed," Mild explained.
"Dad?" Thara questioned.
"I don't care about your dad. Besides, we're doing this without the university's management," Mild said with a smirk.
"You know it's risky, Mild. You know how much your dad dislikes this org, but with your parents, he agreed. But I think, even your parents would disagree with what you want," Thara said. Narrine remained quiet, listening to them.
"So I won't take this as a field trip, it's easy to get around. I take this as our org's get-together. Family. Hopefully, they won't disagree? And don't worry, I'll cover everything. Food, resorts, and travel. It's on me," Mild said triumphantly. Thara flicked her on the forehead.
"Basically, you just want a vacation. You're over-explaining. You're dragging the whole org into it," Thara said.
"Hehehe, I really want to refresh my mind. Like swimming at the beach, taking long naps far from school and activities. That's enjoyable. Isn't that right, Narrine?" Mild asked.
"Y-Yes, you're right," Narrine quickly replied. Mild clapped, and Narrine smiled at Mia, who was glaring at Mild, teasingly looking at her.
"You're leaving me here again," Mia said.
"Then come with us," Narrine suggested.
"But Mia can't leave," Thara reminded.
"Huh?" Narrine was surprised.
"I can only leave this place once I've completed my mission. And when my time comes. For now, I'm grounded to this school," Mia said with a bitter smile.
Everyone fell silent as Thomas passed by with his friends.
"Narrine, aren't you bored being with those weirdos?" Thomas' friends, who were also classmates, teased.
"And you? Aren't you bored with your looks? You look like a stick with a face," Mild retorted, which made everyone, including those who heard it, laugh.
"My friend is right, aren't you scared of them? Like you might get infected?" Thomas added. Narrine just looked at Thara, who was staring seriously at his brother.
"Come with us instead. You'll enjoy it. Right, guys?" Thomas continued.
"Thank you for the invitation, but I'm okay. Thank you for your concern. But what you call weirdo is your brother Thomas. Your older brother to be exact," Narrine said. "If you'll excuse us. Thank you. We have places to go." Narrine then pulled Thara and Mild's hands, while Mild gave Thomas' friends the middle finger.
Once they were far enough, Mild spoke up. "Sorry if you're dragged into this because of me."
"No, it's okay. It's not your fault. They're the ones with the problem. Don't worry. It's like you're not used to my brother," Thara said. Mild sadly nodded, but he noticed that Narrine was still holding Thara's hand. Mild suddenly smiled and looked at Narrine and Thara, then at Narrine, who quickly removed his hand from Thara's.
