At the prestigious business gala, the atmosphere was electric, filled with the most influential people in the industry, each eager to make connections, forge alliances, or simply bask in the prestige of the event. Gulf, dressed impeccably in a tailored suit, was representing the Hexagon Empire, his family's company, and was hoping to steer clear of anyone who might question his troubled past with them. But his curiosity was piqued by the mystery surrounding the gala's sponsor and the one everyone was talking about — Tyronne Alexander, the elusive CEO who'd built a business empire from nothing and had managed to dethrone even the mighty Hexagon.

As Gulf mingled, his heart skipped a beat when he overheard whispers nearby.

"Tyronne Alexander is here tonight."

"Isn't he the one no one's ever seen?"

"They say he's ruthless, but a genius."

Gulf hadn't wanted to attend the event—if it weren't for his curiosity about Tyronne Alexander and his siblings practically forcing him to go, he would have stayed far away. His siblings were relentless, insisting that he try his luck and convince Tyronne to consider a partnership with their company.

But now, standing alone in the bustling room, Gulf was already feeling bored. He swirled his drink absently, his gaze wandering over the crowd of guests who were mingling and chatting. Nothing about the event seemed different from the countless other social gatherings he had attended. He was just about to step outside to catch a break when a movement at the entrance caught his eye.

Turning to look, he felt his curiosity spark. There, just stepping into the venue, was a tall, imposing figure with an air of confidence that seemed to command attention. Gulf's heart skipped a beat—he had no doubt that this was Tyronne Alexander.

Feeling a sudden urge to see this powerful figure, Gulf turned towards the entrance. And then he froze. Striding through the crowd with undeniable confidence and elegance, dressed in an impeccably tailored black suit, was his husband, Mew.

It couldn't be.

Mew's gaze was steady and piercing as he locked eyes with Gulf. There was a flicker of recognition in his gaze, but he held his composure as he approached. The entire room seemed to hold its breath, waiting to see how Tyronne Alexander would interact with the representative from Hexagon Empire. And Gulf, his heart racing, could barely manage to stay on his feet as he realized the truth.

Gulf's siblings were stunned, their eyes widening in shock as they recognized Tyronne Alexander—none other than Mew. Gulf's heart raced, an overwhelming mix of emotions flooding through him. He felt as if time had slowed, and the years of separation suddenly vanished as Mew's gaze locked onto his, filled with a longing that mirrored his own.

As Mew approached, their eyes met, and the crowd seemed to fall away. They stood face-to-face, the weight of the years apart evident in their expressions. Cameras flashed around them, capturing the moment, but Gulf could only focus on Mew.

Then, in a gesture that shocked him, Mew took Gulf's hand and pressed a gentle kiss to it. Gulf felt his cheeks flush, and his heart gave a familiar flutter, just like it used to. Mew had always known how to make him feel like this, effortlessly bringing out emotions Gulf thought he'd buried.

"I still have an effect on you," Mew murmured, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "That's good to see."

Gulf could only stare back, words eluding him. Mew's hand reached up, his fingers brushing a stray bead of moisture from Gulf's cheek. "Just a little longer, and we'll be whole again. But for now, let's enjoy the night," Mew said, his voice warm and steady. He winked at Gulf, who, dazed, nodded in response.
