Gulf's POV:

🗨️"see you soon, My love." I woke up to the sound of my alarm, followed immediately by a sudden text on my personal number. I had been receiving these messages for a week now. I had Ailyn investigate, but they couldn't trace the location—it's a blocked number.

🗨️"I hope you're doing wEll, I'm alWays here for you." I was in the faculty when another text came in. I chose to ignore it and let the other messages pile up. I was starting to feel scared. I couldn't tell if this was Edgar; as far as I knew, he was busy with his companies that were continuously losing sales, and it frustrated me because my plans were falling apart. Meanwhile, the name "Tyronne Alexander" was booming, but I still couldn't see who he really was. He didn't appear at press conferences; for now, he was just one of the wealthy business tycoons targeting my rivals. Edgar's business had already fallen victim to him. So I was preparing even more, knowing I was his next target.

"I'm worried about you, sis. What's your plan? It looks like Tyronne Alexander is picking off all your competitors in the business world, especially Edgar." I glanced at her and smiled.

"Let him be. At least I won't have to put in the effort to think of ways to bring down my rival. It seems Tyronne has a plan. Any leads?" She shook her head; well, what else was new?

"Could it be that Tyronne is the mysterious person texting you?" I raised an eyebrow. What if it really was him? I quickly grabbed my phone and called the number. Taking a deep breath, I waited for him to answer.

"Hello, my love. How are you?" I immediately ended the call, my eyes welling with tears. I called Intoy instead.

"Intoy?"

"Oh, Gulf. You called? How are you?"

"How is Mew? W-what's going on?" I was crying. "Can you secretly point the camera at him? So he doesn't see you?"

"What's happening to you, sis? Why are you crying?" I looked at Ailyn.

"Why are you crying? Did something happen?" I shook my head at Intoy. From the video call, I saw Mew staring blankly out the window, holding the frame of us three with Nicole. His eyes were swollen; I knew he had just been crying.

"He's been talking to your frame for a while now, crying while having coffee. I guess that's his habit every day," Intoy whispered to me.

"I miss you too, Mew. Please bear with me. Just a little longer, and we'll be together again." I said goodbye to Intoy, and I cried even harder. Ailyn came closer and hugged me.

"It will all end, Gulf. Just a little more patience." I nodded in agreement. I couldn't afford to make a mistake on my guts. But I need a proof.

"I'm sorry, Thana, but I have an emergency right now. I'm really sorry. I'll make it up to you. Something just came up." I sighed deeply, I'd been at the restaurant for over an hour waiting for dinner, and he just now called. What the heck!
