"This is not how I wanted our first meeting to happen," Thana said, holding Narrine's hand. He didn't want to take his eyes off him. Jom and Tay were sitting on the couch, and Thana's secretary was also there, looking almost as worried as Thana about Narrine's condition.

"He called me mom again," he continued, tears streaming down his face. "It feels so good to hear that from him for how many decades. But it's painful because it brings back memories. How he cried, begging me not to leave him with his dad. He was like that earlier." He stroked Narrine's hair.

"We're getting closer to being a family again with your dad. But for now, I have a lot to do," Thana said, suddenly serious as he look at Narrine.

"Aren't you worried that Thara might suspect something?" Thana's secretary asked.

"No. I know he has a lot on his mind right now," Thana replied, looking at them.

"I know my son is important to him. I could see it earlier. How much he cares for Narrine." He held Narrine's hand again as he slept peacefully.

"He won't tell Edgar about this. Especially if he has many questions about what happened back then."

"Are you okay?" Thara and Mild were in Marketing class after coming from the hospital.

"Huh? What are you saying?" Thara asked, furrowing her brow.

"You seem deep in thought. The professor has been noticing you for a while now."

"Is there a problem, Mr. Gonzales?"

"No, Sir. Sorry."

"Okay, if there's none. Please, eyes on here. If you're not interested in listening, you can leave the room."

"Sorry, Sir," Thara said, looking around. Thomas and his friends just laughed at him.

Thara looked at Mild, who seemed worried about him.

After class, they both went to the music room. Thara immediately grabbed the guitar and strummed a few chords.

"Thara..."

"Are we really friends?"

"Sorry..."

"Why can't you tell me what you know? Don't you trust me? Or is it because Edgar is my father, and you think of me as an enemy?" Thara angrily asked.

"It's not like that, Thara. I'm just following orders. And yes, I know who brought Narrine at the hospital. I know them very well. And I know you also know him, the one who's been troubling your mind for a long time," Mild confessed.

"But I really can't tell you. It's not my story to tell. I'm sorry, Thara..." Thara's phone suddenly notified him, so they both looked at it. Thara quickly took his phone and checked the message.

🗨️"You will know the truth. In the right time."

"Bullshit!" Thara shouted and threw his phone, surprising Mild.

"Thara,"

"Not now, Mild. If you don't want to tell me, I'll find the answers myself. I'll be the one to ask that guy!" Thara was about to leave the music room, but Mild stopped him.

"What! Let go of me, Mild!" Thara shouted.

"Please, Thara. Don't be impulsive. I know how you feel. But think first," Mild said, taking a deep breath before speaking again.

"The guy earlier who brought Narrine at the hospital," Mild swallowed.

"He is... he is Nattarine Jongcheveevat. He... He's your mom's best friend." Thara's eyes widened.
