I continued my work.
The drop would be needed to work around but I vowed to make it work somehow.
In a while I discovered this cave connected to another cave I had been in before. This was a great discovery.

While I worked to make the Cave walkable, the Enderman kept me company at the drop. He watched me carefully, patiently. Yet he remained silent.

I started growing fond of him. I smiled at him and his face seemed to grow brighter in return.

He made a noise.
A type of grumble.
it sounded cute.
"Yeah" I said without knowing what that noise even meant.
He looked surprised at my response.
"Guess you haven't seen anyone for a long time. You must have been lonely."
He clutched the block of dirt in his hands tighter like a child clutching their plush-toy and nodded.
I chuckled at his nervousness.
It was time for a break so I sat down on one of the steps.
I patted the ground next to where I was sitting. "Sit down with me", I offered.

He seemed to hesitate at first as if he was unsure *how* to sit down, but then he gingerly lowered himself next to me.
It looked a little strange the way his long legs bended as he sat. I haven't seen one of his kind sit before.
For a while there was silence, I had been organizing my inventory and planning my next moves building-wise.

Suddenly I hear a raspy "thank you".
