I fled away, down further into the cavern.
I reached a tighter space where he was too tall to follow.
William furiously grasped at air trying to reach me despite being unable to advance any more towards me.
I used this opportunity to fully comprehend him. This was an expected outcome. He was an enderman after all.
yet still, seeing William like this tugged at my heartstrings. I had a real connection with him just moments ago and now he was a rabid beast intent on destroying me.
I felt a wet tear rolling down my cheek as the reality of the situation fully set in.
Looking at William's face now, with regret rather than fear, I watched a display of pure anger.
Those purple eyes so easy to get lost in. If only it didn't cause this.
As I stared mournfully, I could see a liquid shimmering in the monsters eye. A purple fluid began to stream downwards.
Was he... Crying too?
Did William not want to hurt me?
I could't take it any more.
Reluctantly I took out my sword.
My face wet from the tears I swung at what I had wanted to be a new friend; And what had wanted to be my friend.
"I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!"
