Taken aback I look at the creature beside me "Was that you?"

He looked embarrassed but then nodded franticly.
"For what?" I asked.
"You are kind."
I wasn't looking at his face. Even when he was sitting the Enderman was still taller than me. His hands shivered as they held the Grassblock securely.

The tall creature seemed incredibly nervous, it was most likely his first time talking with someone. Someone like me at least. Maybe it's his first time speaking at all!
No one knows if Endermen usually communicate with each other and neither did I.

I myself was nervous aswell of course. I mean who wouldn't be? I was in a rather tight space together with an enderman one false move and I could end up with him lunging at me.
Such a shame that their eyes are always so magnetic with their unnatural purple glow.

But I wasn't about to let that paranoia get the best of me.
I had made an unex- pected connection down here. And as long as I didn't lock eyes with him it will all be fine.
Carefully i moved my hand and gently laid it on his.
"Don't be scared." I said to him.
