The following split second felt agonizingly long.
Both our eyes had widened in shock.
This was a mistake we could never come back from.

I quickly averted my gaze hoping, praying! that this wasn't enough.
"I'm so sorry!" I cried out to him.
I realized those hopes were foolish as William's body started to shake violently, a threatening growling crescendo reverberating through the tunnel.

I looked up and saw Williams face had distorted into an angry grimmace fully overtaken by a primal rage. His beautiful purple eyes glowing with a deep rooted hatred and hot anger.

"Oh no...", was all I could muster before the first punch.
