Eddy stared at the open world, just resting his feet on the threshold of the door. He licked his chapped lips before slowly taking a step out. He glanced at Brett, making sure he was still there. Making sure he was close and wouldn't disappear. This was okay. He was okay, "Ready, Bretty?"

"Ready, my love," Brett said gently, carefully taking Eddy's hand and giving it a squeeze, a small reminder,"Let's head out, so we won't miss the appointment, yeah? Wanna take the car or the subway?"

"I'd like to take the car please. Large crowds can feel overwhelming," Eddy said gently to him. He figured that there might not be as many people on the subway right now but he wasn't 100% certain. So he'd rather choose the option that made him more mentally comfortable.

"Of course. It's a bit far to walk from the subway anyway," Brett hummed, putting his other hand in the pocket of his jacket to fish out the car key. He pressed the button to unlock it before walking Eddy over to it. "Help me take the cover off, please?"

"I gotchu," Eddy smiled a little at him as he walked to the car. His hands trembled a little as he grabbed one side of the tarp. He didn't say anything about it though, thinking it better to not draw attention to it.

Brett grabbed the other side of the tarp, carefully sliding it off. He also noticed the slight tremble of Eddy's hand, but knew it was best not to say anything.
"There, I'll just put it by the steps for now," he commented gently, carefully folding it and putting it down next to the railing for the front door steps.

"Sounds good," Eddy leaned a bit against the car, watching Brett. Thinking he was handsome. His handsome and smart man. He just liked him. Plus it helped him take his mind off of things. If something bad popped on up, he would replace it with the thought of Brett. Like man, weren't Brett's shoulders so nice and broad. Yeah that was hot and not bad.

"There we go," Brett hummed, turning to look at Eddy again. He smiled a bit when he found him looking. "Hop in and let's go."
He walked back over and opened the driver's side door to get in, making sure to glance into the back seat through the window to make sure nobody would be waiting for them.

Eddy hummed, opening the passenger side and slipping in, "You look nice, doing things."
He chuckled to himself about the awkward and vague statement but he meant it. Brett did look damn nice doing things. It gave him something to openly admire.

"You think?" Brett chuckled, a small blush passing over his cheeks. "Thanks. You do too, you know."

"I do. I like how your shoulder blades pull back and stuff. You're built nicely and it's more defined when you're doing things like pulling the tarp off and folding it. So you're welcome I guess," Eddy explained softly but cracked a smile when he saw Brett blush. That was nice too. The rosy tint looked good on his milky skin, "I'm glad you also think so about me."

"What is this, huh? Make Brett feel shy-day?" Brett joked, leaning over to kiss Eddy's cheek before starting the car. He adjusted the rear-view mirror slightly and then backed out of the small driveway.

"Well it's my favorite hobby, to make my boyfriend look all cute and shy," Eddy giggled at the kiss. He liked kissies. Who wouldn't like kissies from the hottest man alive. Brett was built like a greek God and Eddy was nothing more than a mere mortal in his presence.

"You're adorable, you know that?" Brett chuckled as he drove off. He did notice the slight flash of something in the rear view mirror, but it disappeared soon after, so he did what they had to do: He ignored it.

"Well I at least know you think that," Eddy tensed ever so slightly before relaxing again, "I don't typically look at myself and think adorable."

"Well, you should. You're cute like a.... Like a puppy," Brett hummed as he drove. "Like an adorable little doggy."

It was Eddy's turn to blush, although it was a deeper shade of red than the one that painted Brett's face earlier, "Usually calling someone a dog is an insult"
He joked to hide how much it affected him, but his face gave it away. He liked that Brett thought he was adorable and like a puppy.

"Nooo, not like an insult, like a... like when you call someone their cute little kitten," Brett hummed, glancing over at him. He couldn't help to smirk a bit when he saw the blush on Eddy's cheeks.

Eddy squeaked a little, not sure if he should feel embarrassed or not. But he liked it, "Well thank you then."

Brett hummed softly, placing one hand on Eddy's thigh as he drove. He honestly loved getting this kind of reaction from Eddy. It made him feel good.

Eddy glanced at Brett's hand placement, hmm that was interesting! But it was nice. Eddy lightly put a hand over Brett's, running his thumb over the man's knuckles as Eddy looked out the window shyly.

Brett glanced over at their hands, smiling a bit. This felt really nice to him. Like a dream come true. Unfortunately the drive to the real estate agent was way too short, and soon after he pulled into the parking lot and backed into a spot. Better safe than sorry.

"So will you do most of the talking? You're better at business than I am," Eddy looked back at his man with a soft gaze.

"Well, I'll talk about the business stuff, but we have to tell the guy what we want," Brett hummed softly. "So you gotta help me with that. You're way better at that stuff."

"Well does something medium sized more in the country side sound good to you?" Eddy asked to make sure. Since they had bickered about houses a night or so ago.

"Sounds perfect, my love, as long as I get a small little office space somewhere," Brett said gently, looking over at him. He didn't want to fight about this again, so he kept his tone soft.

"Okay, Bretty," Eddy nodded, at this point it wasn't worth arguing about it. So he would make sure there was a small office somewhere. Even if Eddy didn't like too much open space. Rooms technically were closed spaces.

"Thank you, love," Brett said softly, leaning over to press a gentle kiss to his lips. "I love you so much."

"I love you so much too," Eddy breathed softly when Brett kissed him, he liked the physical affection. Made him feel more fulfilled.

"Ready to go inside?" Brett asked softly.

"I am," Eddy nodded, just taking a second to take a deep breath. He wanted to make sure he was calm before interacting with other people.

"You're safe, okay? I promise," Brett said gently as a reminder, pressing another quick kiss to his lips before opening the car door and stepping out."Okay...." Eddy said softly, his eyes lingering on Brett for a good moment before drifting to the ominous shadow around the corner. He looked away and got out of the car.
