TOMMY cracked his neck a bit as he worked on completing his client's tattoo, her name was Magdalena. It was her father's name across her collar bone, he had passed away about a month ago and she wanted something to honor his memory. Tommy sprayed water-diluted green soap on the tattoo before wiping it off one last time.
"I swear every time you wipe I feel like Im in hell." Tommy chuckled."I hear that often, especially for people that ain't use to it."
"You done?" Tommy nodded, he put down his machine pen and scoot back taking out a piece of Saniderm.
"What's that?"
"It's called Saniderm, it's a medical grade waterproof bandage for your tattoo. Imma put this on you and you keep it on for the first twenty four hours, then I'll send you home with another piece you'll put on yourself with clean hands and keep that on for 4-5 days." She nodded smiling looking at.
"Thanks, I really appreciate it. You did a really good job." Magdalena complimented as Tommy only nodded.
"Im happy I could do it for you, my father passed away recently as well" Tommy said shrugging slightly,
"Seriously?" Tommy nodded."Were yall close?"
"Was..But that was years ago." Tommy responded, The Magdalena nodded as they fell into silence.
"Anyways, I'm glad you like your tattoo and it was nice talking to you and shit and doing your tattoo. You think of anything else? Come see me and I got you." Tommy said leaning back cleaning up his tools, Magdalena smiled and nodded.
"I will." Magdalena reached over unexpectedly giving Tommy a side hug while also quickly kissing him on the cheek as Tommy chuckled waving bye as she walked out the door.
"Y'all friendly?" Naomi said coming out the other room as she took off her gloves and put them in Tommy garbage can.
"Not really, she came to get a tattoo honoring her father and shit. I guess she feels grateful." Naomi chuckled.
"A lot grateful, you got her number?" Naomi questioned sitting down on the chair where the clients sit, Tommy shook his head no.
"Nah, business is business. I'd never fuck with someone I ain't know before I tattooed them..You know that." Tommy informed smiled Naomi laugh kicking her feet.
"That's why you single nigga, jobs is where you meet people and shit. Gotta grab every opportunity." Tommy smirked rolling his chair forward as he rested his arms on Naomi legs staring up at her.
"Oh really? I see an opportunity right in front of me." Naomi mushed his head to the side."Do not play with me, we friends." Naomi reminded making Tommy laugh.
"I'm only kidding Naomi, I know." Tommy said genuinely. He never understood men who couldn't see women as anything but sexual partners or potential girlfriends. Tommy could seperate the two and that was clear with his relationship with Naomi. They had no romantic feelings for each other, and they were gonna keep it that way. Tommy had few friends and Naomi was the only person that could understand him, he didn't have much luck with women either ..Much like his brothers.
