Lloyd finishes his story of what happened. How Kai's distress signal went off and he left a weird transmission. Now he's missing and they have no leads.

"No leads? Like at all?" Snot-lout clarifies.

Lloyd shakes his head obviously worried.

"None. All the usual bad guys are locked up in Kryptarium prison so it's someone new, and Kai wasn't even meant to be out on patrol anyway. He was just supposed to be out on a food run according to Zane," Lloyd explains.

"Did he say where?" Hiccup asks. "No he obviously didn't or we'd have a lead," Lloyd snaps with more malice than was needed in his tone. "All he said was that he was going to a new place he had heard about. Didn't say where," Lloyd said. "Was he ambushed?" Astrid asks.

"According to Zane not likely. Kai said he found something, something that would make us happy, he also said he thought it was just a cash robbery. Didn't get much more before the transmission cut out. Theory is wherever Kai went he overheard something and decided it was worth a night of fun. Now he's missing," Lloyd answers.

"So what's your plan to find my son?" Stoic asks. "And how can we help?" Hiccup adds. On the outside Stoic doesn't look too worried, but on the inside he was worried Hiccup could tell. Even if Kai didn't entirely see Stoic as a father Stoic saw Kai as his son and he worried.

"In short we can't. As much as I hate it for the love of FSM we can't go looking for Kai," Lloyd answers.

"AND WHY IN ODIN NOT!?" Stoic yells loosing his temper immediately hearing that. "Don't you care about your teammate!?" Astrid shouts. "Some so called brother you are!" Snot-lout exclaims. "He is missing and you're going to do nothing!?" Fish-legs exclaims. "We're yelling too!" Tuff shouts as Ruff yells random things. "Why even bother?" Hiccup didn't get to finish before Lloyd lost it at them.

"QUIET!" A wave of his green energy goes over them in a burst that shut them all up and his eyes glowed brightly green for a moment before he calms down a little.

"I want to trust me. We all want to, but the problem is we are Ninjago's only line of defence. We each have a reputation attached to us and they give us some defence because in the end no one wants to fight fire. If anyone gets word of the ninja missing their main source of fire power then that's going to incite them to cause trouble we cannot have on our plates," Lloyd takes a deeper breath.

"We have one potential lead. It isn't a solid one, it's entirely speculative, but it's the only one we have," Lloyd answers looking to them with a serious expression they've frankly never seen on Lloyd before.

Now that they noticed it he looked really tired too. Kai apparently went missing almost three days ago, and the bags forming under his eyes lets it show.

"But for it to work and make sure no one realizes Kai's missing we need Hiccup to pretend to be Kai," Lloyd said.

Okay no one was expecting that at all.

"Wait seriously?" Snot-lout asks. "Twin swap! Classic!" Ruff cheers. "Me and Ruff do it all the time," Tuff brags. "You do?" Fish-legs asks genuinely surprised.

"Hold on. How is that even going to work?" Astrid questions getting a nod from Hiccup.

"Yeah despite being twins and what the twins say me and Kai aren't identical," Hiccup agrees despite wanting to help. "And that's not even mentioning the fact Hiccup can't summon fire to his hands," Astrid adds.

Lloyd makes a disappointed but accepting face.

"Three nights ago when Kai went missing there were multiple break ins all over the city, but only one of them had an alarm that didn't get set off. Supposedly a powerful artifact was stolen and it's one of three. The owners of the second artifact have publicly asked us to protect the second mask for them. We think all the other robberies had her decoy hires to get our attention away from the one where the alarm hadn't been set off. Also usually if villains manage to get ahold of part of a set," Lloyd explains but Hiccup finishes.
