Entering the room was when Hiccup finally saw the rest of the Ninja, but he also took the chance to look around the room as him and the riders entered.

It was full of old artifacts and art pieces in glass cases. There was a statue of a four armed man in gold, a few snake themed things, a couple of weird masks, a few old weapons that looked more for display than battle, and a pretty impressive view of the city outside. Hiccup also saw a weird part of the wall that used to have a painting in it, but the painting had been cut up and revealed a square hole in the wall with an elevated platform. The riders could read between the lines when they saw that and figured that must of been where the missing artefact had been.

Since it hadn't been displayed in plain sight like the rest of this stuff means that it had to have been really valuable, or really dangerous.

Hiccup turns his attention back to the other ninja and noticed they were all wearing new gi's and that Cole's was sleeveless which is a new design and all were still in the same colours. These ones looked different to the old designs and had more variation besides just being copies of each other with different colours and showed a bit more of their individuality. Nya's looked the most different being a dark grey with light blue highlights on it instead of the red and blue gi she normally sported.

All of them were talking in hushed tones with one another and worried expressions when the group came in. Nya had noticeable eyebags under her eyes that she tried hiding with makeup. When they all turned to look at Hiccup he felt put on the spot, but doesn't freeze or anything as they looked him up and down.

"Well you're looking better than you usually do," Nya comments with a small smile. "I'd compliment you too, but I feel that wouldn't be appropriate given the context," Zane said and his partners agreed with him.

Hiccup's glad for that because he does think that would be awkward if his brother's boyfriends complimented him on his appearance looking so close to his twin.

"Ninjago is amazing! How do they build the buildings so high? What are their purposes? How do cars work?" Fish-legs asks rapid fire at them. "We can answer those questions later, but for now we need to focus on our mission," Lloyd said bringing them back on track.

"Isn't it looking for you know who?" Astrid asks. Sure Lloyd had told them about the missing artifact, but none of them really understood how it relates to what might have happened to Kai or his whereabouts.

"Yes and no. We found out some more information about what happened and it has to do with a ancient relic Borg had on display. A mask," Nya points to the empty hole in the wall. It looked like it had a painting in front of it at one point, but it had gotten cut up. "That case does not look secure," Tuff remarks. "I mean there's a big hole in it," Ruff adds and both were ignored.

"What was so important about a dumb mask? Did it have any gold or jewels in it?" Snot-lout asks not seeing anything but that worth the effort to steal.

"It was the power it held," everyone, even Ninja, jump turning to the source of the voice unaware of other company. A man with dark greying hairs, formal green silk robes, gold highlights, a beard, eyepatch over his left eyes, and a seemingly permanent scowl etched onto his face walks out into the light.

Hiccup felt stupid for not realizing the man was here, but that faded away when they realized the ninja also hadn't noticed he was here.

"How long has he been here?" Jay questions, but got no answer as the man looks the vikings up and down, yet do not spare the disguised Hiccup a glance. "Who are they? And why are they here?" He questions.

Lloyd quickly answers for them. "Friends of my mother. They are a team that study mysterious, powerful, ancient, and lost relics. When we heard of the theft we called for them to help us try and discover why this mask was taken. They're from the remote parts of Ninjago and have never been to the city before," Lloyd explains.
