"How are the eggs?" Rory asked her mother.

"Good." she answered.

"I'm glad." she answered, looking impatiently at her mother, eating her food.

"They're still good." Lorelai said.

"I'm still glad."

"Look, freak. We will not be late." Y/N said annoyed.

"It's the first day of school. I want to get there early."

"We will, I promise." Lorelai assured her.

"I have different classes this year. My routes aren't the same. I haven't found the quickest path around. And my locker- they moved it, so I don't even know if it'll work properly, and I'll have to get a new one, and God knows how long it will take or where it'll be and that could send the whole day into chaos." she said panicked.

Lorelai and Y/N both tilted their heads smiling.

"I'm just excited." Rory grinned.

"We know." Y/N said.

Lane opened the door to the diner and ran to the girls.

"Oh, thank God you haven't left yet." she exclaimed.

"No, what's up?" Rory asked.

"Well, I found the greatest record store in the world. It's 10 minutes from your school and I wanna know how much you love me." she said excited.

"Address." Rory said, pulling out a piece of paper.

" 'Recordbreaker Incorporated', 2453 Berlin Turnpike."

"Got it!" she said, noting it down. "Place your order now."

"Yes! Okay..." . Lane started saying different band albums, while Taylor was leading some scout boys to the counter, ready to teach them how to order food. Meanwhile, Y/N was getting up.

"Hey!" Rory yelled, thinking that she will get too late at school.

"Relax, I'm getting doughnuts for later." Y/N smirked, going to the counter, behind the scout boys.

"Everybody, listen up! Decide what you want, place your order and then proceed to the end of the line." Taylor told them.

"I want a burger!" a kid said.

"I want grilled cheese." another kid said. "And fries, and make them really crispy."

"I want mine crispy too." the first kid said.

"You didn't order fries." the other kid told him.

"So?"

"So you can't order crispy fries, without first ordering fries." Luke said.

"Why not?"

"Because you can't make something crispy that doesn't exist." he said calmly.

"Why not?"

"Get him away from me, Taylor." Luke said, loosing his temper.

"Have some respect! These boys just completed the first leg of their outdoor-survival training." Taylor told him proudly.

"Meaning you had them sit under a tree and glue rocks together for two hours." he mumbled.

"You're a very jaded man. What happened to you as a child?" Taylor asked concerned.

"Some creepy guy in shorts and knee-socks tried to sit me under a tree and glue rock together for two hours."
he said annoyed. "Put that down." he said to one of the boys, that was lifting the lid of the donuts.
