The next day, Lorelai and her daughters were standing in front of Luke's. She was thinking of a plan to get her Danish with coffee, without walking inside.
"You're being completely childish." Rory said.
"Am not." Lorelai replied.
"So, what? We're never going to go to Luke's again? We're just gonna starve?" Y/N asked.
"Girls, this was a bad one, okay? This was not Nick and Nora, this was Sid and Nancy and I'm not going in there." she explained.
"The coffee is in there. And it's Danish Day. You're seriously gonna let a stupid fight get in the way of Danish Day?" Rory asked impatiently.
"No, I'm not." Lorelai answered.
"Good!" Y/N said excited.
"You two go in there and order three coffees and three Danishes to go."
"You're kidding, right?" Rory said."He's gonna know what's going on. He's not stupid."
"He can not prove that you are not ordering all that for yourselves, can he?". "No, so... go on." Lorelai smirked.
"Scoot, scoot. Mommy's right here." she said, while her two daughters were walking in annoyed."Hey, Luke." Y/N smiled nervously.
"Girls..." he said surprised.
"Um, we'll have three coffees and three cherry anishes to go, please." Rory said.
"Three coffees and three cherry Danishes." he repeated.
"Oh, and some napkins." Y/N added.
"One of these is for her, isn't it?"
"Who? Oh, no, no, no." Rory said, trying to act natural.
"They're all for us." Y/N forced a smile. "We are super hungry today. We were debating ordering two for each, but we agreed to take one, so we could split it. If we are still hungry for another one, we will let you know."
"I'll tell you what. I'll give you two Danishes, two cups of coffee, you can sit over there and eat, and when you've finished, I'll bring you another one." Luke said, smirking and trying to reveal their intentions.
"You're really gonna stand there and watch us eat our Danishes?" Rory asked.
"Cable's out. I'm starved for entertainment." he said.
"Okay, this is insane! So? You guys had a fight, big deal! You know you're gonna make up anyway." Y/N said annoyed.
"What better day to make up that Danish Day, right? The happiest of all days. The day when we all say, 'Hey, let's forgive and forget over a nice Danish and a cup of coffee." Rory added.
"Two Danishes, two coffees, take it or leave it."
"We'll take it." Rory said, giving up. "We still think you're being silly."
"Thank you for sharing. Come back soon!" he smirked.
The two girls walked out and explained to their mother what happened.
"Why don't you go in there and just make up?" Y/N asked.
"Why don't you give me one Danish and one cup of coffee?"
"I'm keeping my coffee, you can have my Danish though." Y/N said, handing her the bag.
"Same for me." Rory replied.
"What is a Danish without coffee?" Lorelai exclaimed.
"The eternal question springs up again."
"There's not point in even eating a Danish without coffee. What am I going to do with two Danishes?"
