Lisa's POV

I'M DEAD TIRED. I think I'm close to being dead at this point

I can't even remember the last time I slept and ate well

Finally, FINALLY the graveyard shift is over. Its fucking 6am, people are already starting their day while I'm just ending mine

I'll even just sleep in our quarters because I don't even think I'll make it alive going home at this state

Ahhh I'm hungry. But I'm too tired to get something to eat. I'll just sleep first and eat when I wake up. I nodded in agreement to myself. That's right, that's a good plan

I'm now at the doorstep of our quarters when Seulgi called out to me

"Lis, attorney's looking for you. I saw her at the entrance when I came in. I offered to inform you because I know exactly where you are when we're changing shifts" she giggled

"Why do you sound like a teenager" I chastised her

"Because I think something is going on between you two and you're just not telling me" she said squinted her eyes

"I assure you, nothing. I don't even know why she's here" I answered truthfully "Did she tell something?" I asked

"Nope. She just said 'Dr. Kang, is Dr. Manoban here? If she is, please tell her I'm looking for her, if not I'll just go' something like that" she said imitating Attorney

"Just go okay? I also need to change. Shoo!" She added and is pushing me away in the quarters

I'm too tired to argue with her so I just made my way to the entrance and there I saw Attorney sitting in one of the bench

"There you are. I thought Dr. Kang was just messing with me and you're not really here" she stood up the moment she saw me

"Why would you think that?"

"Because it seems like she's always kidding" I laughed at her response

"True enough. So to what do I owe the pleasure of having you here first thing in the morning?"

"I just brought you something to eat because I thought that I haven't return back the favor enough" she reasoned

"What if I was not here?" I asked

"Then I'll give it to Chaeng"

"Why are you so early?"

"I have 7:30 classes"

"Why are you being kind?"

"You have a lot of questions you're being annoying" she said rolling her eyes on me

Sometimes I wonder if her eyeballs are fine because she kept on rolling her eyes always

"There! That's the Attorney I know! Grumpy!"

"You never miss an opportunity to offend me every time we see each other"

"I'm honored" I responded playfully "but are you sure Jisoo or Chaeng didn't convince you to do this? Maybe they also observed that you're being too rude to me"

"It's my own initiative!" She said raising her voice a little. She really can't hide it, she's annoyed hahaha

"Ok, point taken my kind attorney"

"But to make things clear, this doesn't have any meaning or whatsoever. Its just me returning a favor" she explained

"Okay" I responded

"I really am!" She said defensively

"Okay! hahaha I haven't even thought of that"

"Then good, I just want things to be clear"

"Clear as crystal Attorney"

"Then I'll go" she said

"I would offer you a ride but I really need some sleep right now. I don't wanna put you at risk" I said truthfully

"That's okay. I don't know your schedule but I really don't want to bother you while you're on duty"

"You know, you can really be kind sometimes"

"I can be kind every time. But you're just too annoying" I giggled at her response. She's too honest for a future lawyer

"I'll go now" she said and was about to walk away when I grabbed her wrist

"What?"

"I just really wanna say thank you. You don't have to know this but I just finished a graveyard shift, I'm really hungry and sleepy and you just saved me from hunger. I was just about to sleep on an empty stomach. So really, thank you" I said genuinely but she eventually looked away

"Then I'm glad to help. Bye" she let go of my grip then walked away. Weird

Meanwhile

"What the fuck was that? Her eyes were so sincere that I was, I don't know, captivated? It's the first time that I saw her that close. Her eyes were beautiful. But what the fuck? That's so cringe. And for fucks sake she's a doctor, why won't she just buy herself food?!" A certain brunette kept on mumbling to herself

"Maam are you okay?" The driver of the taxi asked. She's on a taxi on her way to her university

She was suddenly embarrassed of her mumbling that she didn't even pay attention on her surroundings. She apologized to the driver and assured him that she's okay

She was so embarrassed that she just kept quiet all throughout the ride

But she can't help but thought to herself. I hope she will eat well and have a good sleep

Back at Lisa

"When did you start bringing your own food?" Its Seulgi, again

"Why do you keep bothering me? Don't you have patients to attend to?"

"I have. I just came back here because I forgot something and then I'll see you eating a freshly cooked food for the fucking first time"

"Leave me alone. You know I can't cook"

"So you got a girlfriend who knows how?" She said with a grin

"LEAVE.ME.ALONE" I said with emphasis. She's disturbing my peace eating this delicious meal

"I told you she's not my girlfriend. I just helped her a lot before so she's just returning the favor" I added

"Whatever. Irene has also been cooking for you but you never ate any of it"

I stopped eating with what she said

"Seulgs, you know why I ----"

"Yes I know. Its just, I don't Lis. When she'll know about this, she's gonna get hurt"

"I'm sorry" is all that I can say

"You don't have to be. I'm sorry too. Its just that, you're both my friends, you know?" She said with a heavy heart

"I'm really sorry Seulgs"

"I know its not your fault, its not anyone's fault. I just hope this situation will find its way to settle itself" she added

"Just make Attorney your girlfriend for fucks sake" she joked, I know its her way of shifting the topic and lifting the mood

"Dude, she's straight" I reasoned

"Then bend her. In all ways you know" she winked at me playfully

"Dude that's so disrespectful!"

"Yieeeee protective Manoban! But seriously, just show her your charms. I haven't seen anyone survived it" she said moving closer to me, I have a bad feeling about this

"I think I've fallen victim to Manoban charm, oh no! I want a kiss" she said playfully, acting like she was about to give me a kiss but I'm doing my best to shove her face away

"Dude what the fuck. Go back to your patients. Go away satan" I'm having a hard time here but she's just laughing at me

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

"Gosh Seulgi, don't add to my competition" we both froze when we heard the familiar voice

"Irene" "Joohyun" we said in unison
