It was a tiring day

Well, she was just from a 12 hour long surgery and is dying to just go home and sleep

She isn't even the one performing the surgery, she just assisted because she is currently a third year resident

It never seize to amaze her that they will start the surgery on a Tuesday and will finish on a Wednesday. She took a mental note that if she failed being a surgeon, she will just be a mafia or something because she also mostly works at night. Mafia's work at night right? She thought

Or maybe I will be qualified to act as a zombie in movies. They won't even need to use a lot of makeup, I already look like one. She thought of again. Many thoughts are running in her mind right now

There were many times that she was already questioning herself why the hell did she choose to be a surgeon, a neurosurgeon at that

Well it's cool. She thought again. It's like she's just arguing with herself

But who the hell will become a surgeon because it's cool? Well bow down, it's me. She's getting crazy

Luckily there's not much vehicles passing by. Well its just 5am

But as she was about to turn the wheel, she saw a woman standing near a store looking so worried. She was intrigued because the woman looks kinda familiar but she can't pinpoint where she saw her

But she shook her head to get rid of the thoughts. Maybe I've just seen her in the hospital. She thought. It's the only place she thought of because she hasn't been going out lately. Or more like she cant

But she thought, why not grab something to eat before going to sleep? Sleeping with full stomach is satisfying but she's hoping that she can still wake up after, well I still manage so I think it will be fine. She thought

So she parked, got out of the car, and went inside the store. She just got herself some sandwich and milk, its morning after all

And when she got out, the woman was still there and seems like looking for some courage and looking so bothered. But again, its none of her business and she's tired as it is

She was about to step in her car again when suddenly someone spoke

"E-e-excuse m-me miss" when she turned around, it was the woman before. She looked extremely bothered and irritated.

She doesn't look like a beggar. She's too gorgeous to be a beggar. She thought

But the resident just looked at the woman with confused face and waiting for her to say something

"Argh this is so embarrassing" the woman whispered to herself but since its still so early and no one is around, the resident heard it

"I'm really sorry to bother you but can you give me a ride? Or just lend me some money. I promise I'll pay you! Just give me your deets and I'll really send them" she explained rather fast

"What if I kidnap you?" The resident asked

"Will you kidnap me?"

"No!" The resident said rather defensive

"Then, no. Soooooo, will you give me a ride?" The woman asked

"Are you a call girl?" The resident asked

"That's extremely offensive you know? But since I'm asking for a favor, no, I'm not. Its just that I lost my wallet and my apartment is kinda far from here" the woman explained

"But how can I know if you can be trusted? And while we're at it, why do you trust me?" The resident asked

"To clarify, I don't trust you. Its just that you're wearing a coat so I assumed you're a doctor and it seems like to all the people who passed by, you're the most decent one" the woman explained

"Well thank you but I'm not a doctor yet, I'm still a resident and I'm really tired right now so to get this over with, can you introduce yourself and just tell me what you do? So that I can somehow be at ease" the resident argued

"Ok but please introduce yourself too, I'm also in the dark here" the woman suggested

"Deal"

"Ok. So I'm Jennie. A law student"

"That's it? Jennie? How do I even know if you're telling the truth or just making up a name?"

"You're so suspicious, you know?"

"It's for my safety. I still want to be a doctor"

"Okay. That's also offensive but I understand your point. And again, since I'm the one asking for a favor, it's Jennie Ruby Jane Kim a law student in National University. But sadly we do not have time to confirm that because I still have classes and I really need to go now"

"Ok then, I'm Lalisa Manoban, a resident in UD Hospital"

After the introductions, they both hop in the car then Jennie gave directions to Lisa on where her apartment is

"What time is your class?" Lisa asked

"Why?"

"Nothing just curious"

"Fine. 9am"

"Ok. Take care bye"

Then Lisa drove off

Weird. Jennie thought. But she's just glad that she's already home. Now she has to prepare

Meanwhile......

Lisa also arrived in her apartment, and already ate but she can't still sleep. She looked at the time, its 8:02. Why does it seem like time is so slow? She said to herself

She still doesn't need to go the hospital until 3pm

She rushed to her car

"I'll just check it" she mumbled and then drove off
