- 2 years and 3 months earlier -

Vibes were flowing, the energy was electric, and you could feel the vibrations move through your brain and tickle your nervous system. When it came to good music, every Rageon developed a Hive mind mentality. The Boom Box was one of the most prestigious clubs going in downtown Mt. Rageous and only rising stars were said to perform there. Every celebrity and rageon worth knowing had previously performed there, and tonight it was Velvet and Veneer's turn to show the crowd what they got to offer.

Kid Ritz wondered up the steep steps leading up to the entrance, his younger cousin of two years, Orchid, in tow behind him, nervously patting down her shirt to get rid of any creases and fidgeting with her hair to make sure her short ponytail hadn't slipped. It was safe to say she was nervous, she hadn't actually been to a club before, but lucky for her, her cousin was in big and had connections, his rising reputation alone would assure her entrance. Ritz looked back at her, sensing her anxiety and chuckled.

"It's gonna' be too dark in there for people to notice anything. Besides, I doubt anyone would care anyway. Relax! Enjoy yourself!" He said, referring to the fact that most rageons would be too star-struck, paying attention to the performers or completely off their head on something. He walked up the last steps backwards before spinning himself around to casually fistbump the security guards, greeting them like old friends, before slapping them on the back and pointing finger guns towards them and a few patrons as he slid in through the door. Orchid was less enthusiastic as they eyeballed her. She definitely didn't look the part, but she was with Kid Ritz, so they allowed it.

Inside the club was jumping, literally, darkness surrounded them, with only the lazer lights beaming across the vast crowd to reveal where the cheering, clapping, and stomping was coming from. Kid headed straight to the side bar, bumping elbows with the bartender. He spun his head back around to see Orchid looking a little lost. 'My Dad's going to kill me!' Is all she could think about.

Her eyes locked with him, and he simply gestured for her to go off and enjoy herself. She wondered through the crowd for a moment to mix in before she could feel her heart start to beat, syncing with the beat of the music that had started up. And before she knew it, she was tapping her feet.

Just then, the stage lit up in a glittery flurry to reveal two rageon twins posing centre stage. Each blessed with stylish green hair, their pale skin shimmered in the stage light, but it did not shine as much as their matching golden shoulder pads, which were complimented perfectly by the stark difference their thick diamond cut boots and matching jewellery made. Kid Ritz took mental notes as he observed the two, and then, they began singing one of their top originals, "Sweet Dreams."

"Sweet dreams are made of this. Who am I to disagree?" Velvet started, her voice had a satisfying rasp to it as she sang on.

"I travel the world and the seven seas. Everybody's looking for something." Veneer seemed to act as a backup singer for the most part, but when they sang together his well rounded voice completed their sound, and they sounded amazing. Their choreography wasn't too shabby either, their dancing reflected the rhythm of their song and the crowd went wild for it.

Ritz continued to watch in awe. 'So these are the rageons everyone has been going mad over for the last month.' He thought to himself, finding his head bobbing along to the beats. "Beautiful. Talented. And stylish." He said to himself, not that he could hear his own words over the volume of the music. "Check. Check. Check." The truth was, as well as having a good time and to help his cousin to too, he was on a personal hunt for his next interviewees. He knew that they would cross paths with him eventually, but he wanted to get in there first. Ritz's pride and joy was being the host on The Bop on Top, and the rise in popularity of these two was hard to ignore. Their new single "Watch Me Work" was reaching a record breaking high and had been number 1 in the charts since it's release.
