- 2 years and 1 month ago -"Hi! I'm Orchid! Like the flower." Orchid stood in front of the bathroom mirror in her usual get up. She had a flustered blush on her face. Everyone inside the Boombox looked so gorgeously done up that she felt so out of place.
"No, no, that's stupid." She shook her head as she washed her hands in the sink."Hey, are you talking to yourself?" A rageon girl with long dark green pigtails asked from behind her, coming out of a stall. She seemed to be wearing a custom-made Velvet and Veneer fan shirt. Though the bathroom seemed still, you could still feel the thumping of the music just outside the door. Orchid jumped as she spun around to look up at her.
"Gah! Oh my god- sorry, I thought it was empty in here -" Orchid squeaked, immediately feeling intimidated and judged.
"Relax, Orchid? Was it? I'm Midori. It sounds to me like you're expecting to meet someone special. Oooo tell me the details, I love club gossip." Midori approached her and then proceeded to wash her hands in the sink as Orchid awkwardly shuffled away to dry hers. Orchid found it weird that she decided to continue talking to her, but she had been told before that girls often loved to gossip in bathrooms on nights out. She was nervous to respond, but a feeling of happiness overcame her for her consideration to be included in this club ritual.
"Well...I don't expect anything, but I was kind of hoping to meet her..." Orchid pointed a slightly shaking hand towards Midori's shirt, aiming directly at the chibi version of Velvet's image.
"It's my first show, I missed the beginning of the night. But I'm really enjoying their music! Velvet is so stunning in person. I didn't think I'd enjoy clubbing so much." Orchid fiddled with her hands, looking down at them as she explained. Midori shook her hands and just giggled at her."No way this is your first real night out! I'm so happy for you! Also, good luck with actually meeting her. Most shows they both end up leaving early for whatever reason. And I'm glad you're after Velvet, I got eyes on my man Veneer! He's such a dream boat!" She cupped her hands together and started to jump up and down excitedly.
"Isn't he gay-?" Orchid tilted her head in confusion over the fangirl's proclamation, but she was quickly cut off by the bathroom door slamming open, and a pink hair rageon with light green skin appeared. They were wearing a matching fan shirt to Midori's.
"Yo! Midori! Dude, what's taking so fucking long? They'll be back out any minute!" The rageon had to shout over the music that was now pouring in through the open doorway. He then turned his head towards Orchid and jumped.
"Hey! You're that girl that came in with Kid Ritz! Bet you're in big!" Midori's eyes widened and now both rageons were gazing upon her with awe."U-uh- He's my c-cousin. I'm Orchid by the w-way." She stuttered as she felt cornered once again. But she was met with a positive response.
"No way that's so cool! You gotta like introduce us!" The pink haired guy shouted as Midori walked towards him. "Love your jacket by the way, looks super comfy. I'm Lozza, nice to meet ya'."
"O-oh thanks! It's nice to meet you too. Heh, maybe I will! I love your shirts too, I haven't seen any like them." Orchid cracked a smile as she started to follow.
"Thanks! I'm totally the head of the V&V underground fanclub so I made them myself. I can totes make you one too! You seem cool." Midori looked back at her cheerfully.
"Hey, you should come dance with us! We should push right to the front, and if anyone complains we can be like: nuh uh, no way, our friend here is Kid Ritz himself's cousin, bruh." Lozza laughed and started to walk back into the crowd.
"Sounds good to me." Orchid smiled as she let her quick new friends drag her off, back into the sea of dancing teens, doing the pushing through for her.
