The studio was buzzing with action, mic checks, and cameras being set up. Crew members of all positions rushing about making sure that tonight's interview, like every night, was perfect.

Ritz was pacing the floor, wearing his best chellsuit and matching hat. A makeup artist was eagerly trying to attend to him as he walked with one finger in his ear and the other hand holding up his phone.

"Orchid! Orchid! Slow down, I'm serious, I really can't talk right now, we're going on air in..." He looked towards a director for an answer as they looked down at their clipboard and then their wrist watch. "Fuck. 10. I've really got to go. Yeah! I promise I'll ring afterwards, you'll see it on tv- OK, later gators." He hung up and groaned as he looked back at some crew members frustrated.
"Where the hell are they!? They were supposed to be here half an hour ago!?" He yelled, trying not to throw his phone at someone from the stress, throwing his weight around down the hallway, the makeup artist still trying to follow behind him.

Just as he was about to go ballistic Velvet and Veneer burst through the double doors being led by a crew member. They were all dressed up in matching garments, both wore glimmering, sequined, pink crop tops, with a singular shoulder pad, Velvet's on the right, Veneer's on the left, so that they were mirrored. Veneer sported a pair of black trousers with tactfully placed triangular rips down the legs, whereas Velvet wore a short arrow cut skirt, with the same rips on her hips. Both wore matching gold collars and cuffs.

"Heeeeeeey~ we're here, sorry we got held up, we had to make a quick pit stop." Veneer greeted everyone as normal, though the faces that greeted them weren't as friendly.

"Where the hell have you been? Why are you dressed like that!? You've given us no time to rehearse! I was about to send out a search squad!" Ritz panicked as he walked beside them as they did not stop.

"Take a chill pill. We're here. Your stupid driver caught my dress in the car door so we had to turn around and change.  Oh, and of course get smoothies." Velvet rolled her eyes as she explained, shaking the fruity plastic cupnin her hand. They had to both change their entire look after her outfit got ruined. That was over an hour ago. She shoved her purse into Ritz's hands and walked ahead of him. "Now then! Where is our dressing room? I assume it is in the same place." She declared, walking into where it used to be. It had, in fact, not changed a bit.

"What's with the outfits? I thought we were going for the more approachable, authentic look?" Ritz handed Velvet's purse over to Veneer as he turned to talk to him, catching up to the pompous woman.

"We never agreed to that." Veneer replied as he walked over to the seat next to Velvet. "I'm not going out there looking like shit like you want."

"I- What about your hair?" Ritz prompted, nudging his head up to point towards Veneer's head. He had his hair down and swept to the side. He started to walk out of the dressing room to take his position on stage.

"Thanks for letting me know you think my hair looks like crap. That makes two of us then. For your information, I felt like having it natural today." Veneer side eyed him as he sat down. In truth, his hair was a small protest against his and Velvet's look for the show. He knew Ritz wanted authentic, so this was his acception. And limit to that.

Kid Ritz sighed and exited the dressing room, shaking his head as he sat down ready in his host chair. He didn't think Veneer looked terrible, he just wondered why he didn't look like his usual self.

"Hey! What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Velvet swatted a makeup artist's hand away and cocked her head back offended. She wanted to wipe off her gold eyeliner.

"Hunny did noone tell you that, that eyeshadow is so 2 years ago." The artist commented and Velvet immediately stood up in protest, Veneer quickly followed suit. Her blood boiled at the insult, she refused to admit that she was behind on ANY fashion trend.
