Maeve had found her self stumbling around in awe of the sight of London. It was somewhere she had only even seen in instagram posts and tik toks. She made her way into a coffee shop around the corner from the studio. She placed her order with a woman at the counter and waited patiently for her name to be called.
A guy walked into the shop that caught her attention. It was Andrea Charles trainer. The trainer he was supposed the be training with today before the race next Sunday. At first she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her but she knew it was him, it was undeniable. His eyes caught hers and he made his way over to her.
'Hello Maeve.' He smiled at her, 'fancy seeing you here.'
'Small world.' She chuckled thinking of what to say next. 'I thought you were training today?'
'Not today, we are starting on Monday.' Andrea responded. 'What brings you to London?'
'I'm doing a bit a of recording.' Maeve smiled. 'You?'
'Sight seeing.' He smiled softly as they were interrupted by a lady calling Maeve's name.
'I'll see you later.' Maeve smiled as she head back into the busy street of London. She pulled her phone out and dialed Charles number.
One rings, two rings, three rings. 'Hello mom amour, how's London?' Charles asked the moment the call was connected.
'It's great. How training?' She asked point blank.
'Oh you know what Andrea is like. He's working twice as hard as normal.'
'So your training right now?' With Andrea?' Maeve wanted some clarification.
'Yes love. What are you up to?'
'I am just about to enter the studio, we can talk later.'
'Okay love you.' He spoke softly but Maeve just disconnected the call, he was back to his old self, lying. They promised no more secrets but what could Charles be keeping from Maeve? She didn't want to concern herself with it, leave him to it was her exact thoughts.
'Hi my name is Maeve, I'm here to see Freddie.' She spoke firmly to the receptionist.
'Perfect, follow me Mrs Leclerc.' She smiled guiding Maeve through the studio.
'Maeve.' Freddie spoke as he pulled her into a hug. 'Have you brought the song book?'
'Of course I did.' Maeve scoffed as she pulled out the book. 'I've had a little bit of inspiration on my way over. Am I okay to go straight in?' She asked as she directed her self to the microphone.
'It's all yours.' Freddie smiled as he watched her place the headphones on her head.
'I like the way that you make promises that you can't keep
How you tell a girl to rock your world and shy into the sheets
You're callin' me the girl of your dreams, oh, really?
Honestly, yeahI think you're just a tease, you tell me that you're sweet
But I just see your bitter ridden insecurities
You say you serve to please, is that what you believe?
'Cause all I ever hear about is me, me, meGod, you're just a bloodsucker
Yeah, you're drainin' all the hope out of me
I ain't your mother
Don't think you're 'bout to feed off of me
'Cause I'ma find a real man who ain't gotta pretend
That he knows the ways around a woman like me
I don't need a bloodsucker
Just drainin' all the life out of me''That's all I've got so far. I mean that's all I've physically written but I would like to just freestyle this verse.' Maeve asked as she rubbed her arms.
'I love that. Go for it.'
I think you're special, don't get me wrong
It takes a special kinda man to piss me off
Read the room, boy, writings on the wall
Did you really think that I was gonna call?'Wait no I actually really love that!' Maeve chucked into the microphone.
'It sounds like you have a full song, what did you need my help for?' Freddie chuckled to Maeve.
'I can write my lyrics I just can't write my own music, if that makes sense. I want the song to sound old fashioned yet modern. I love the drums so I would like the predominate instrument to be the drums.'
'I love the whole vision you have. I love the way your voice sounds when you sing, it's beautiful and unique. I had so many ideas for you Maeve. Firstly, what's the name of this song.'
'Bloodsucker.' Maeve smiled firmly.

'Something distracting you Maeve?' Freddie spoke snapping Maeve from her trance in her screen.
Charles had called 10 times, texted 14 times and left 4 voicemails. She sent him a quick text 'I AM OKAY STILL RECORDING, TALK WHEN HOME.'
'No I am good, was just texting Charles.' She smiled placing her phone away.
'What do you think of this instrumental?' Freddie asked handing the headphones to Maeve.
'That's amazing. Can I sing over it?'
'Absolutely.'

On a serious note: BLOODSUCKER BY CIL is a piece of art and it is one of my favourite songs ever. If you haven't heard the song, I strongly suggest this song.
It's a good song to scream to if you are like me and are always in traffic.YouTube - https://youtu.be/akn9ZXXCF9M?si=q-ntaAnjx8A7Cb-M
