They always said marriage was never easy. Maeve pushed her aspirations of becoming a singer to a side to focus of building LNL Limited into the establishment it is today. In the start she wanted this more than anything, she thought this would fill the void that Leclerc created. But instead of doing that it just ate at her. The restless nights, the unsuccessful client meetings, the responsibilities just all nagged at Maeve and Charles, which in turn had an effect on the marriage. Yeah they say marriage isn't easy but owning your own business isn't exactly a walk through the park.

They agreed they would need help, neither of them really had any experience at running a business. So Maeve was delighted when Charles discussed the chances of making Melina Larson a shareholder. Maeve had realised Charles had grown from seeing things the way his family did, this only made her love him more. Melina accepted the offer immediately, she felt like she was given an opportunity to redeem herself. So Charles and Maeve were in control by owning 40% of the business. Melina accessed 20% of those shares. Marcus was eager to get on board with the idea, she naturally he accumulated 20%. It only felt right to have another Jackson on board, so Arthur joined the business and receive the last of the shares. And it worked, for a while.

Like we said, Maeve had pushed her dream to aside to focus on this business. But deep down, she was full of regret. So when her producer, Freddie rang her up practically begging Maeve to come and record some new music, she jumped down his throat at the offer. She dreaded having the conversation with Charles. When he was out doing his other projects, she had full control. Up until then, there had never been a situation where Charles had full control. Charles was over the moon for his wife, this is all he ever wanted for her, he was happy to see her slowly achieving those dreams she had. So Maeve headed to London and recorded an album as she was so full with inspiration. The album was realised and then Maeve went back to building LNL LTD. But she'd get noticed more and more on the street, people would ask her for photos, ask her to sign things, she couldn't even make it through a coffee without a fan stopping and chatting to her, but Maeve didn't mind. Freddie had made her a sensation overnight.

When the opportunity for a tour came Maeve way, Maeve had never been more happy in her life but she instantly knew she had a decision to make. The company she spent endless sleepless night building from the damage caused or the opportunity to fulfil her dream, the very thing she spent her life fantasying about. She left is hanging in the air for a while but management needed an answer. Maeve knew if she walked away from the company, it meant walking away from Charles. She knew he would want to be with Maeve supporting her every step of the way, but it was too much pressure to put on him, to make him balance everything on a thread would be unfair. But she wanted this more than she wanted anything.

Maeve agreed to the tour, which meant she had to eventually tell her husband. It was only a matter of time until the media would start their promotions for the tour and then the world would know. Of course Charles was happy for his wife, he always told her she had a talent. But he then realised what his wife was trying to say to him, he was angry and he was right to be. He thought that after everything him and Maeve had been through, they would be together until the end. That they would finally get there happily ever after. But Maeve had a different idea. She wasn't doing this because she didn't love him, she was doing this because she loved him, loved him too much at times. It was all for his own good but he was too naive to notice.

They didn't want to spend there remainder of there time arguing, so Charles put his feelings aside. But maybe is expressed his feeling, maybe Maeve could have been convinced there was another way to make this work. But he didn't. He spent the rest of there time being happily married couple, doing whatever married couples do.

The night before she left, she handed Charles her stack of rings. She told him it was because she didn't want to loose them whilst travelling, but he knew this signified there marriage was over. There wasn't a dry eye between them when Maeve left her and Charles' home the next morning. Charles pulled Maeve into a comforting hug whilst she whispered in his ear, 'Thank you for everything, you've made me into a better person. Thank you for stumbling into the bar that night. You've gave me hope and you made me feel loved, you even taught me how to love someone. I will never forget you Charles Leclerc and I'll never stop loving you. This isn't a goodbye my love, it's just a 'I'll see you later'

Maeve went on to sell out every single concert she ever did. Charles made sure to attend a few in support of Maeve and she was more than happy to accommodate him even if he did bring some female companions with him. They spoke at least twice a month, informing each other of any major changes in their life, the tour life highs and lows, and mainly how the business was doing. They always managed to cheer each other up. Charles made Maeve's bad days good and her good days even better. She knew she'd always have his support in whatever she did.

Life's too short to spend your life hating someone. Having a life full of hatred will destroy your enjoyment in everything. It was wrong to hate Charles because of his families actions just how it was wrong for Charles to judge Maeve on hers. Once there love for one another was formed, it was hard to break their bond. Everything they did for one another, was to protect them it never had any ill intentions behind their actions.

Maybe someday there will be a chance of Maeve and Charles finally getting the happy ending.

Maybe, they will be able love each other properly without any limitations.

Maybe, just maybe, this was the way things were always supposed to be
