Mayas POV

I don't know what to do. Do I want to be her assistant? It is a lot of money. I would never have to worry about paying my bills, thats for sure. My dads medical debt is really the most pressing issue. Well that and my student loans for school. For my dad, I should just suck it up and take the job. Miss Deluca isn't really that difficult to handle. People say she's scary but I don't see it, she is intimidating yes, but that could be said for anyone in a powerful business. Plus I don't think they would say that about her if she was a man.

She is gorgeous, her dark wavy hair and her caramelised sun kissed skin. Her suits hug her body perfectly. She must work out. Although it would be so awkward knowing that I slept with her and she's engaged. That makes me a home wrecker too. Oh, no I am such a terrible person.

My phone goes off breaking me out of my thoughts. Unfortunately I know this number all too well, its the hospital calling about my father. "Hello, This is Maya Bishop speaking."

"Miss Bishop, this is Doctor Shepherd. Your fathers dose needs to be increase and I think we need to add another medication. He seems to be steady, but from my observation over the last few days I believe the medication wears off early. Another thing is he is also showing signs of depression."

I close my eyes and let out a breath. "Yes, of course. If that's what he needs do it. I will come and see him later on today. Thank you for the update, Doctor Shepherd." I hang up and turn my attention back to my emails. The email from Mr Montgomery is still there unanswered. I don't have any other choice do I? Sighing, I answer the email and CC in HR and attach my resume.

I look up from my monitor to see a deep chocolate orbs looking down at me. I jump back slightly in my chair from surprise and put my hand over my heart. "Miss bishop."

I regain my composer "Yes, Miss Deluca. What can I do for you?" Her hands go over her forehead before she answers me. 'Oh Shit. What have I done'

"Make me a coffee and meet me in my office. We have matters to discuss" That was it, she just walked off back into her office and shut the door.

I stand up and smooth out my navy blue, calf length pencil skirt and re-tuck in my white blouse. I head to the coffee machine and prepare her cup. She's on her phone when I walk in, so I carefully but quietly make my way to her desk and set her coffee in front of her. I think it took me about a month to learn how to make her coffee just the way she likes it. I talk a seat on the sofa in her office just to the left of her desk and get ready with my note book and pen for any notes I'll need to take. She hangs up her phone and rings her secretary. "Mr Montgomery, I am not to be disturbed"

After relaying the message she takes her coffee and comes to join me on the sofa. "Miss Bishop, I have received your resume." Wow. That was fast, I let out my breath. "I'm glad you will be staying on as my assistant. We can discuss your pay and benefits and if you have any issues, please don't hesitate to speak up and make them known. Once your contract is signed, we will not be making any changes. Your contract will be renewed annually and everything will be emailed to you in detail. Look over it and contact me directly with any issues or questions you have. Understood?"

I nod "Yes ma'am. Thank you for this opportunity."

She takes a sip of her coffee and speaks again, "Now about Vegas..." I feel like her eyes see right through me and I can't help but bite down on my lip. She clears her throat."I have no recollection of the last night we were there, however my friend informed me that she drugged us both. I assume you have no recollection either?"

My mouth opens in shock DRUGGED?? "I..." I close both my eyes and mouth taking a deep breath to calm down and take this information in. Once I reopen my eyes I turn towards her "Miss Deluca..." I stutter out. "I was drinking soda at the bar where you left me. I remember you coming out of the room but you were stumbling a little. Then the next thing I know, I woke up in your room. I was scared so I got my things and ran back to my room. That's all I remember."
