Maya's POV

OH MY GOD! I am pregnant! As soon as I saw my period app, I knew I was pregnant. I've always had a regular cycle. I've only been late by a day a few times. I don't actually know what to think right now. I've only knowingly been sexually active for 5 days. I never thought about birth control. I guess it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. Now that I think about it, Carina has not been concerned about birth control either. I decide to voice my thoughts. "Carina. We've never used protection. Were you wanting me to get pregnant?"

She shakes her head. "No but I have no objection either way. I honestly forgot about it. That and I wasn't exactly sure I could get you pregnant. I've had tests done in the past but the have all been inconclusive. Maya, I want you to know this was not my intention. I must admit though, you being my wife and the mother of my bambino does something to me."

Our conversation gets interrupted by Carina's phone buzzing. She looks at the caller ID. "Sorry Maya. I have to take this." She leaves the bathroom and I realise I am still only wearing a bathrobe. I find a thin dress to wear, it is too hot for anything else, then I just put a simple braid in my hair.

"Maya. I can cancel my meetings so we can go to the doctor." Carina wraps her arms around me from behind.

I shake my head. "No, don't cancel your meetings. You don't come here often and I would rather find a doctor back home. It can wait."

She kisses my cheek. "Are you absolutely sure bella? I want to make sure everything is okay."

I lean my head against her chest. "I'm sure. women have been having babies since forever. My body knows what to do. I'm sure I'll still be pregnant when we go back."

She kisses my forehead. "You're amazing, you know that right." With a kiss to my lips she continues. " We need to get going. Let me know if you want or need anything okay, bella."

I smile and bat my eyelashes. "Even Taco Bell?"

She gives me a look and rolls her eyes. "What is it about Taco Bell?"

I shrug my shoulders. "I have no idea. It just sounds really good." Carina's hand goes to the back of her neck, so I give her my pleading eyes. She instantly give in. I must remember that.

"Fine, you can go fro lunch. I'll have Ryan take you. Junk food. Ugh." She physically shivers as she says the last part.

I laugh. "Food snob." I joke.

She takes my hand and leads me out of the suite, "You're going to torture me aren't you. Now that you are pregnant, I won't be able to deny you anything."

Carina already had plans to meet Gabriella for lunch after her morning meetings, so I kiss her and leave her to go eat. Ryan isn't a food snob. He orders two giant burritos and a Baja blast while I get my three tacos. "Congratulations. Miss Maya." I look up to him in question. He already knows the question I am about to ask.

"Mrs Deluca made that comment in the hall just as Jesse and I showed up."

I swallow my bite. "Ahh Thank you Ryan."

His hazel eyes look at me for a minute before he speaks. "Miss Maya. I think it would be best to limit the people you share your news with. Your father and Miss Andrea will of course need to know but otherwise it's not a good idea, for now at least."

I smile at the gentle tough guy in front of me. "I will follow your advice. Thank you for your concern, Ryan." He is such a big teddy bear.

I devour my tacos before Ryan can finish his food. Ironically Taco Bell is unusually something I only eat occasionally. I guess the baby like the tacos here. Is it normal to crave this early in a pregnancy? I'll have to look it up.
