Mayas POV

Andy is over the moon to get a solid, exclusive story. I tell her to meet with Ryan for a press pass.

At 9:55 Carina, Mr Montgomery and myself make our way to the conference room. Andy is seated front and centre, while we file onto the platform. We are met by, I'm guessing, Amelia who is already bantering with the small crowd of reporters and photographers. Carina smoothly walks up to the microphone and the cameras flash while people are shouting over each other.

Carina holds up both hands, quieting the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen. I called this conference to clear my name as a viscous and utterly false claim is causing my stocks to fall. The report this morning did not cause me any harm. however, it does affect my company and therefore all of my over 4,000 employees. First of all I would like to call out the reporter who wrote this trash without any verification. I hope his paper will see that he is reprimanded for his lack of tact and carelessness." Carina extends her arms towards Mr Montgomery.

Secondly I would like to introduce you all to Mr Montgomery. My secretary of six years. He and his husband have been happily married for 12 years. They have just finished adopting their second child. Congratulations, Mr Montgomery." He steps forward and bows her head to the crowd.

They all applaud his good news. Carina continues. "Lastly I want to take the time to appreciate my wife. She has stood by me through this mess and supports me completely."

The crowd begins speaking over each other again. The loud noise resonates throughout the room as their voices are wanting to be heard. Multiple cameras begin flashing simultaneously. Carina holds up her hands again to calm the chaos. "Alright, alright. You all seem like you are dying to ask me questions." Laughter rings out through the crowd. Carina points to Andy. "Miss Herrera."

Andy stands up. "Mrs Deluca news of your marriage hit the headlines only a few weeks ago. Are you hiding the mythical wife somewhere?" The crowd bursts out in laughter once again.

Carina genuinely smiles. "She is not a myth. I am married and I am not hiding her. I am very proud to be married to my wife. She is an amazing person an she has enriched my life." Andy smirks at me as she takes her seat.

I turn away from the crowd as slyly as possible to wipe the tears from my eyes because of Carinas words. Carina notices me, Of course her does. She notices everything. She pulls the handkerchief from her pocket and discreetly hands it to me. I wipe my eyes and smile. She pints to another reporter. "Yes. Mr Pope."

A balding man in a navy blue suit stands up. "Mrs Deluca are you implying that you are not having an affair, just by simply introducing us to your secretary?"

Carina smirks. "I am implying nothing. I am flat out refuting the accusation." Carina points to a busty blond woman in a skirt suit. "Ms Reginald"

She stands up with a sultry look on her face. "Mrs Deluca, you were reportedly engaged to Ms Cavanaugh, the daughter of your ex partner, fro two years. Why the sudden change of events? And were you cheating on her behind her back?"
