Let's run this from the beginning, yes?

My name is Aamon, but you should know that by now. I am... what you would consider a demon. Bat-like wings, the horns of an eland, bright eyes with slit pupils, all checked in the boxes. Although, I don't live where you humans perceive as hell, though you did get some aspects correct.

Demons don't reside deep into the ground in a fiery pit, quite the opposite really. We live on a floating island not visible to the human eye. In our homeland, it's like the skies are cloaked in red cloth. The overall atmosphere resembles human dread. Everything colored here is very dull, unless it's a very bright red. You'd get used to it after a while. Humans can only see it if we will. On top of the island is much like human cities and suburbs. Plenty of residence, shops, and whatnot.

We demons are the incarnate of negative emotion. We are made up of all kinds of greed, fear, pride, rage, envy, sadness and a lot more. Even if we are technically emotion, we aren't exactly immortal. Now, that doesn't mean you can defeat a demon with 'the power friendship' or something stupid like that. As long as a human somewhere feels negative emotion, we will continue to exist. That's how we know our race will never run out as long as humans exist. Negativity is heavily ingrained in human nature, so we will surely prosper. Even so, we reproduce and develop similarly to humans. Each demon has their own unique 'kryptonite,' and it's not 'holy water.' It's frankly none of your business though.

As demons we have a job that we take very seriously. With the negative emotions that humans secrete, it is inevitable that some will leak out into selfish desires or 'requests.' Although it may seem unbelievable, a lot of humans attempt to summon demons to fulfill these requests. Depending on how much effort they put into the summoning, a lower or higher demon will spawn.

When summoned, lower demons prefer to stay out of sight. They are quite the cheeky ones, fulfilling human requests in a twisted way. Even if humans are very exact in the way they request something from the lower demons, they will still find a way to make it the most chaotic and backstabbing path they can. After all, they weren't offered much as compensation.

Higher demons, like my brother and I, do show themselves when summoned. This is mostly because our summons are more flashy. Once summoned, higher demons fulfill the humans' request to a tee. Some higher demons who aren't quite satisfied with the offering given will do something quite similar to lower demons. They'll fulfill the request, and when the humans think they've gotten everything they've wanted, they simply pull the rug from under them and watch them fall into madness to scramble for what they once had. Most higher demons who are satisfied with their offerings will fulfill the request perfectly, but leave one tiny thing that will snowball into a problem the original summoner can't ignore. With those humans, once they find an easy way to get rid of their problems, they'll just keep coming back.
