Am I lost in a somber dream's embrace,Or simply numbed by stone's cold trace?A sliver of sense clings to my right hand,This throbbing power, my life's lone strand. In dreams, you linger, ever so near,Will my hiraeth bring forth your tear?Embrace me close, dispel my fright,

Erase the future once foretold,End this sorrow that I hold.Dreams of youth, now chains that bind,Drag me down, leave marks behind. In shadows cast, my form is etched,By your presence, forever sketched.

My blood's hue, a mystery untold—Red, black, or white, it's bold.Prepared I stand, foes yet unseen,Should chaos reign, will you intervene?

I closed my eyes and tried to think again, But I was already stained with blood

Ruby: "I know... But still... thank you, Hadryn."
her voice barely above a whisper.

As the evening wore on, Ruby found herself engrossed in penning a heartfelt letter to her friends who had remained at Signal. She carefully folded the letter, tucking it away in her bag for safekeeping.

All the while, Hadryn sat nearby, a silent guardian in the midst of the soft chatter of students preparing for sleep. Ruby's eyes danced over every line of her letter, her fingers clutching the paper with a mix of anticipation and apprehension.

Ruby glanced around, her gaze falling on the other students. They all seemed so peaceful, lost in their own worlds.Hadryn, still sitting by her side, watched her silently. His armored figure was a comforting presence in the dimly lit room. He didn't say anything, but his silence spoke volumes. It was a silence filled with understanding and empathy, a silence that said he was there for her, no matter what.

yet the hormogenity of his contrast against the others. Showed a different shade of red against Ruby.Despite his usual stern demeanor, Hadryn's voice softened, breaking through the quiet hum of the auditorium like a comforting echo.

His words were predicted to be a gentle reassurance, a beacon in the sea of her uncertainty.

Hadryn: "Ruby, I can see it in your words, the sincerity and warmth. Don't worry, it's a truly heartfelt letter."
His voice resonated, a spectral presence that seemed to emanate from his faceplate, filling the space around them with a sense of calm.

The quiet interaction between Ruby and Hadryn was abruptly interrupted by Yang, who burst onto the scene with the energy of a fireworks display. Her golden hair, cascading down to her waist, seemed to catch the lanternlight and set it ablaze. She crashed next to them, her wide grin contagious.

Yang: "Hey, hey!"
Yang called out, her voice carrying across the open space.

Yang: "It's like a big slumber party!"
Her words hung in the air, and she punctuated them with a playful wink.

Yang's companion, Bailey, stood nearby. The two of them were dressed in matching casual attire, reflecting their laid-back personalities. Yang wore gunmetal greenish shorts that hugged her athletic frame, paired with an orange-hued tank top. The tank top bore a dark red emblem—a fiery heart—an homage to Yang's outgoing personality or perhaps a subtle nod to her Semblance. Bailey, with her eyes lighting up in recognition, had been Yang's friend since their Signal Academy days.

Ruby shifted her gaze from Hadryn, her silver eyes scanning the eclectic mix of people around them. Some were attempting, without much success, to impress the girls with their figures. Others were blissfully ignoring the world, engrossed in their own activities. It was a curious blend of personalities, like a patchwork quilt of humanity.

Ruby leaned in closer to Hadryn, her voice low.

Ruby: "I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys, though."

Yang, overhearing, couldn't resist.

Yang: "I know I do!" She purred, her eyes gleaming as she watched several muscular, shirtless guys strike exaggerated poses. Her gaze then trailed over to Jaune, who stood nearby in blue and yellow duck pajamas, enthusiastically waving at her. Yang's groan was audible as she turned back to Hadryn and Ruby.
