((Opening))

Am I lost in a somber dream's embrace, Or simply numbed by stone's cold trace? A sliver of sense clings to my right hand, This throbbing power, my life's lone strand. In dreams, you linger, ever so near, Will my hiraeth bring forth your tear? Embrace me close, dispel my fright,

Erase the future once foretold, End this sorrow that I hold. Dreams of youth, now chains that bind, Drag me down, leave marks behind. In shadows cast, my form is etched, By your presence, forever sketched.

My blood's hue, a mystery untold—Red, black, or white, it's bold. Prepared I stand, foes yet unseen, Should chaos reign, will you intervene?

if I closed my eyes and tried to think again, Would i be stained with blood?
In my grasp, Deep rooted anger grows. . .

((Opening close))

The Beacon Cliff stood as a majestic plateau, its grassy expanse reaching out towards the horizon like a green sea. The edge dropped sharply, offering a breathtaking view of the dense forest below, where ancient ruins lay hidden among the foliage, silent witnesses to the initiation about to unfold.

Atop this natural stage, a group of students gathered, their faces a mixture of excitement and anxiety. They stood on ornate silver tiles, forming a semicircle around Professor Ozpin, who held his signature mug, and Glynda Goodwitch, who was intently scanning her holographic tablet, presumably monitoring the hidden cameras scattered throughout the forest.

Ozpin's voice, clear and resonant, broke the morning stillness.

Ozpin: "For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."
His words carried the weight of tradition and expectation, echoing off the cliffside. Glynda, ever the vigilant assistant, looked up from her tablet to address the students.

Glynda: "Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of 'teams.' Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today."

Her gaze swept across the assembly, pausing briefly on Hadryn's armored form. He stood stoically beside Ruby and Yang, Right beside Cardin Winchester. Who scoffed at him. Cardin, Obviously still pissed off from his earlier encounter with Hadryn. Though Hadryn stood indifferent, his arms crossed, his expression unreadable behind his helmet.

Ruby, less composed, muttered under her breath,

Ruby: "What? Ugh, It'll be fine."
Her voice was a mix of complaint and self-reassurance, a small rebellion against the uncertainty of the moment. Ozpin continued, his tone warm as he sipped from his mug of steaming chocolate, yet in a shaky stutter.

Ozpin: "These- these teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So-so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well."
He paused, His eyes slightly widening at his own stutter, a brief cough interrupting his speech as he dabbed at his forehead with a handkerchief. Despite the hiccup, his presence remained commanding.

Ruby despite his earlier words remained tall and ready. Her gaze drifting to her flank where Hadryn stood. Her thoughts drifting over Her childhood, remembering that gaunt and stoic faceplate that represented his being, staring at her. listening-

Ozpin: "So that being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."
His announcement hung in the air, a decree that would shape their futures.

He finished before Ruby grew to a shocked expression, Ruby's initial shock gave way to determined thoughts, Thoughts of Hadryn, Her silent mystery of her childhood, filled her mind. And how far she has come already.

If she were to let her dream. Be tarnished by mere poor- matchmaking or some randomness of fate. She wouldnt stand for it. She was resolute, her ambition to become the hero she had always imagined only strengthened by Hadryn's presence ever since she was a little girl.
