Double Trouble- Re-written.

Date with Danger Part 2

The Vivix and Wrench brought Hydie to a cave. Hydie was sitting in a chair that was in the middle of a clearing within the cave. She sighed and hoped her plan would work. It was her plan to pretend to be kidnapped in front of Chase to see if he, along with the other rangers, would rescue her. It would also help her with her cover of being a good person and not evil like her brother.
"How long do you think this will take?" Fury asked Hydie since he was also in the cave.
"Be patient." Hydie said. "It shouldn't be too long now." Hydie added because it had only been less than a hour since the pretend kidnapping. "The rangers should be coming to rescue me soon, then you can get back to whatever it is my brother normally has you doing." Hydie stood in front of Fury. "Now plant one right here..." Hydie said and pointed to her cheek.
"You want me to kiss you?" Fury asked.
"Eww, gross." Hydie shivered in disgust. "No, slap me." She added. "It will help make this all believable." Hydie looked at Fury. "Unless you're scared about Heckyl's reaction to you hurting his big sister?" She challenged Fury when he didn't do anything.
"I'm not scared of anything."
"Then slap..." Fury slapped Hydie before she could finish.
"Oww..." Hydie said because Fury's slap hurt.
"Aww, did I hurt you little girl?" Fury shrugged. "You wanted this to be more believable, right?" Hydie narrowed her eyes at Fury. She closed her eyes and took a deep calming breath. Hydie tried not to let her emotions ruin her own plan. Hydie opened her eyes and looked at Fury.
"If this was any other time, you would not get away with slapping me that hard." Fury scoffed as Hydie sat back in the chair. Hydie knew she asked to be slapped for part of her plan, but didn't expect Fury to slap her that hard. 'There's going to be a bruise' Hydie thought to herself about where Fury slapped her. 'Hopefully the rangers show up soon, I'm still hungry.' Hydie tried to relax in the chair and prepared herself for when the rangers would show up.

Hydie and the others waited for what seemed like hours before they knew the rangers arrived. Hydie's arms were tied behind the chair, making it look like she was being held captive. Her hair looked like a slight mess, but was still in the ponytail that covered up her tattoo. Her goggles were still around her neck and not damaged. Hydie took a deep breath and focused on pretending to be scared about her situation.
"They're coming." Wrench said as a Vivx was blasted deeper into the cave.
"Help!" Hydie shouted to make it seem like she was the victim and not the mastermind behind the whole thing. "I'm in here..." Hydie looked towards another Vivix that was blasted towards them.

Ivan and Chase came into the clearing while morphed. They had their blasters ready to take on any Vivix that tried to fight them.
"Let the girl go." Ivan said to Wrench and Fury. Chase noticed that Hydie was tied to a chair with both Wrench and Fury at her sides.
"Oh boy." Wrench said when he saw the two rangers. "I'm out of here." He teleported away, even though he could have held his own in a fight.
"Weakling." Fury commented about Wrench before he took a step forward. "You two aren't getting out of here." He said towards the two rangers in front of him. Ivan and Chase looked at each other and gave the other a nod. They both blasted Fury, which only knocked him back a little. "Is that all you got?" He challenged the rangers.

Ivan fought Fury on his own in order to distract him. Chase fought a few Vivix before he was able to make his way to Hydie.
"Are..." Chase faked a cough so Hydie wouldn't recognize his accent "...are you okay?" He finished in an American accent. Hydie nodded.
"I tried to loosen these ropes, but they're tight." Hydie said to Chase as he went behind her. He managed to loosen the ropes enough so Hydie could get her arms free. "Thanks." She said and gently rubbed her wrists like they were sore.
"Now let's get you out of here." Chase said and was still using his American accent. Hydie nodded and stayed at Chase's side as they started to make their way out of the cave.
"No!" Fury shouted when he noticed Chase and Hydie were leaving the cave. He knew it was part of Hydie's plan, but he didn't want the rangers to think they won. Fury swung his sword at Ivan, which knocked him down before Fury teleported away.

Chase and Hydie made it out of the cave to where the other rangers were. Hydie took a deep breath because the scent of the air outside was more refreshing than the cave. Chase stood at Hydie's side, still morphed as the black ranger. The rangers that were outside joined them after the fighting was over.
"Are you okay?" Tyler asked Hydie, still morphed as the red ranger.
"Yes, thank you." Hydie said. "To all of you." She looked at the rangers and pretended that she was grateful that she had been rescued.
"It's all clear." Ivan said as he came out of the cave.
"Did they say why they took you?" Riley asked Hydie. Hydie shook her head.
"I have no idea." Hydie said. "But I don't think they needed a reason to cause trouble." She added, which was partly true. Hydie could tell from the time she's spent on her brother's ship that the ones there liked to cause trouble just to see people scared. 'Fighting without a reason is reckless' Hydie thought to herself. "The guy I was with before they took me, is he okay?" She wanted it to look like she was worried about Chase even though she had been the one kidnapped.
"Yes, he's fine." Chase said about himself.
"Let's get out of here so you can ask him yourself" Tyler said and everyone nodded. Hydie walked next to the rangers as they took her away from the cave. She hoped that the plan will have the desired effect in the long run.

A few hours later, Hydie sat in the park. Her hair was down, but not in the ponytail anymore. Instead, she had it partly brushed over her face to hide the bruise that was starting to show from the slap Fury did. She didn't want any stranger to comment on the bruise because she was waiting for Chase. Hydie also didn't want to explain the bruise to anyone she didn't know.

When she was finally able to get something to eat, Hydie had texted Chase and asked to meet up in the park where they had met earlier in the day. She wasn't sure what Chase's reaction would be to the growing bruise on her face, which was another reason she was trying to hide it. Hydie looked up when she heard footsteps and saw Chase was coming towards her, this time without his skateboard.
"Hey..." Chase said as he sat down next to her "...are you okay?" He asked and Hydie nodded.
"The power rangers rescued me." Hydie said and Chase pretended to be surprised.
"Really?" Hydie nodded and didn't say anything about knowing Chase was the black ranger. Chase noticed Hydie's hair was covering her face more than earlier. He slowly moved his hand and brushed a little of her hair to the side. "...when...did that happen?" He quietly asked.
"Before the rangers rescued me." Hydie said. "The big red ugly one slapped me pretty hard." She added, but didn't say Fury's name. "It feels fine now..." Hydie lied. It did hurt a little, but it was easy to ignore the pain.
"How are you? Are you okay?" Chase nodded.
"I was mainly worried about you."
"Really?" Chase nodded at Hydie's question. "You were worried?" He tried not to blush when Hydie slowly leaned in and kissed his cheek. "That's sweet of you."
"If I was any sweeter, I'd give you a cavity." Chase said and Hydie let out a genuine laugh, which made Chase smile.
"I'd rather get a cavity from some ice cream." Hydie said, but gave Chase a smile.
"Why don't we get some?" Chase suggested. "We still have to finish our date...that is if you want to." Hydie paused for a moment and looked at Chase.
"Sure." She said, "I'd like that." Chase smiled before the two of them stood up. Hydie slowly reached for Chase's hand and held it. Chase looked at their hands and held Hydie's hand back before the two of them walked to get ice cream.
