"TIME TO GET UP LAZY ASS!"
No movement, sound or reply.
"Jisung, it's 7:45 and if you don't get up-"
"7:45?! WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP EARLIER?"
Jisung half-fell out of bed, his blanket still partially on top of him as he tried to get dressed frantically. Heesoo leaned against the doorframe watching his little brother stumble across the room to go brush his teeth. He chuckled to himself, entering the room to fold Jisung's blanket neatly and place it on the foot of his bed.
When Jisung reappeared, he quickly flashed a grateful smile at his older brother before grabbing his schoolbag and racing down the stairs.
"Good morning mom, I'm gonna be late so I gotta go. Thank you for the food and I love you!" He babbled while placing the neatly wrapped lunch in his bag and putting his shoes on at the same time.
"Where's my 'I love you'?" Heesoo pouted exaggeratedly while pouring himself a bowl of cereal.
"You're okay I guess, alright now bye!" Jisung stuck his tongue out at his older brother who had gone to back hug their mom. Jiyoon only smiled fondly at her oldest son, leaning into his embrace as Jisung raced out the door.
"That kid, I swear." Heesoo murmured, but also unable to keep the smile off his face.
As the only alpha in his family, he couldn't help but feel responsible for them. His and Jisung's dad was an alpha too, but he had been killed in a car accident almost 6 years ago, leaving Heesoo a lot more protective of his remaining family.
Jisung was only just recovering from their beloved father's death, and sometimes they all had those days where all they could think of was their dad.
Especially Jisung.
They were like bouts of depression, locking himself in his room for a whole 2 or 3 days without eating at all. He probably thought Heesoo didn't hear the sobs coming from his little brother's room every time he walked past, and all he could do was occasionally call out reassuring words. In all honesty, Heesoo's heart broke and sometimes he would go to his own room after hearing Jisung's pained cries to cry a bit himself. But he never got it as bad as Jisung.
"Honey, eat your cereal before it gets all soggy. I need to work."
Heesoo placed a light peck on the top of his mother's head before drawing back and returning to his awaiting breakfast.

Jisung sprinted all the way to his highschool, which luckily wasn't far from where he lived. He arrived in class huffing and his cheeks red from all the running with 2 minutes to spare. He jumped when a pair of hands rested on his shoulders, fear coursing through his body until he heard a familiar deep voice.
"Sungie, I thought you weren't coming today. You were almost late to class."
Despite his deep voice that Jisung would surely be intimidated by if he wasn't best friends with him, Felix had a cute and soft appearance, freckles lightly scattered across his cheeks and shiny brown eyes that made him practically irresistable.
"Lix, don't scare me like that! I thought you were-"
Jisung stopped, looking down and letting his heartbeat slow to a normal pace. He didn't need to finish his sentence for Felix to understand. The slightly younger's eyes widened and he quickly held Jisung in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry Ji, I didn't mean to..."
"It's okay Lixie, I know you didn't. You're not like them anyways, you would never."
This morning Jisung thought he could detect a decent whiff of sweetness floating from Felix.
His heat must be coming.
He couldn't help but frown slightly as some nearby alphas turned their gazes to them. To Jisung the sweet scent was light, but considering alphas had a better sense of smell he was worried for his best friend. They quickly broke apart as the teacher walked into class, a strict look on his face. The morning seemed to last years, with Math and History being Jisung's least favourite subjects. Yes, he was good at math and everyone assumed he loved it, but just because he was at the top of the class for the subject didn't mean he enjoyed it at all.
*A Few Hours Later* (If you didn't read this in Felix's voice I'm disappointed)
"Class is dismissed."
Jisung let out a dramatic sigh of relief, but stayed sitting on his seat. When the teacher glanced at him and Felix they pretended to be packing up their things, and luckily her gaze moved on.
When the doorway cleared of students rushing to get out of the classroom, that was when the two best friends stood up and left. It was always the safest option to go last since there were many alphas and higher ranks than them that went first. It put them in danger of getting jostled around, but even worse, a bully's target.
Once Felix had gone out with the rest of the class and a tall alpha had seen him, which resulted in a very close call. Fortunately a teacher had heard scared noises from the bathroom and gone to investigate. The alpha was suspended for 2 weeks, but his excuse to not get expelled was that he was on his rut. Jisung thought that it was still the alpha's fault for not staying home during his rut. It was basic logic considering he went to a school filled with other betas and omegas. But ever since that, Jisung and Felix always stayed behind till they had a safe way out.
"Come on, let's go find Seungmin and Innie."
Holding hands, they made their way to their normal spot during breaks, a table under a nice shady tree. It was quiet in that area and away from the rowdy and louder students. When they got there the two younger omegas were already seated and quietly talking. They looked up in sync and a happy smile spread across Jeongin's face.
"Finally, what took so long?" Seungmin asked rhetorically since he knew the answer anyways. Felix sat opposite him and reached over to poke his soft cheeks, receiving a quiet grumble from the puppy-like boy.
"How was class?" Jisung asked, settling down next to Felix and resting his chin on his arms.
"Eh, okay I guess. Though there were alphas eyeing hyung a lot." Jeongin pouted, resting his head on Seungmin's shoulder.
"I think it's because my heat's coming soon. Either later today or tomorrow." Seungmin said, not seeming too disturbed by it. But Jisung frowned. Now that the younger had mentioned it, he could detect traces of sweetness in the air that was coming from Seungmin.
"Felix's is coming soon too, but shouldn't you go home? What if it comes at school?"
"I don't think it will. But I'm probably not coming tomorrow though."
"Okay..."
The four omegas started talking about random gossip, the time going by faster than they would have liked it to. When Jisung checked the time, they only had 15 more minutes before they had to go to their next class.
"Hey Seungminnie, what are you and Innie's next classes again?"
"Science and History. What about you and-"
Jeongin suddenly grasped Seungmin's jacket sleeve, catching the attention of the other omegas.
"Innie?"
