A/N: Hi :]
This chapter is going to include some details about how Jisung lost his dad, but most paragraphs are just present time.
Past things (to do with Jisung's father) are written in italics.
"Bye Sungie! Good luck with Heesoo hyung."
Felix pecked Jisung's cheek and Jisung did the same to him.
It was just seen as a friendly gesture between the two. Sometimes they did the same to Jeongin and Seungmin, Jeongin smiling and blushing cutely and Seungmin grumbling about 'just being best friends and nothing more' but both, including Seungmin always returned the kisses.
"Thank you Lixie. Bye!"
Jisung usually walked home with Felix since they lived pretty close, on opposite ends of the street to be precise, but today Felix had to go to his after school tutoring session like he did every Monday, so Jisung walked home alone.
There was a sharp ache in his back, probably from when Minho slammed him into the lockers. He was almost certain that there would be a bruise when he checked as soon as he got home.
Suddenly paranoid, he started walking faster until the familiar figure looking out the window of his home appeared and a wave of safety and comfort crashed upon him.
His mother usually waited by their window for her youngest son to arrive home safely since she would've finished her work anyway.
The only school day she didn't was the day she was told her husband had died in a car accident.

"Bye Ji! Bye Heesoo-ah! Have fun at school!"
Han Sangkyung stood next to his wife, smiling as his sons waved and walked away.
"How fast our sons have grown. Jisung is starting high school and our eldest child is in college already." Sangkyung breathed out, holding Jiyoon closely.
"I know, honey. It's like it was yesterday when we were still being woken at midnight from crying and sleep deprived like never before. Though I'd gladly never go through that again, I do miss the cute moments when they were small children." His wife responded, both walking back into the house slowly.
"I'm going to work now, Jiyoon. I'll see you later." Sangkyung placed a kiss on his wife's forehead before heading out the house again and getting into his car. Jiyoon waved at him fondly and he blew a kiss back just as he drove off.
It was like a normal day, like any other day for the past few years.
It proved to be anything but normal in a few hours.
It ended up being the day the peace in his family's lives was shattered.

Sangkyung was happy his boss let him go home since he finished work early that day and he was in a rush to get home to his wife and kids. He loved seeing her warm gaze and Heesoo's cheerful expression and Jisung's purely innocent and joyful eyes.
He looked up at the sky as he stopped at a red light. It was mostly clear, a few puffs of clouds here and there but otherwise a beautiful blue shade. He was happy, even tapping his fingers on the wheel to the beat of the song playing on the radio.
Sangkyung turned the corner as the light turned green, doing nothing wrong and following the rules like every other driver currently on the street.
