How did (Y/N) and Demetrius manage through their years of being rivals?
Obviously, it all started when the two began joining competitions. (Y/N) started with categories under academia while Demetrius started with sports, soccer. As they both developed in their respective fields, the two tried switching fields. Thus, they never really see each other on the opposition's side that much but acknowledge one another because of their background.
That was until that national competition sponsored by Eden College last year. Even though it was their first direct encounter, the two couldn't help but want to erase each other's existence. (Y/N) couldn't believe there was a possibility that someone possessed so much arrogance and Demetrius was appalled with how unladylike the girl was. Which, in their mind, was perfect to have someone as competition.
And now that the Festival of Talents is right around the corner, everyone on the campus has one lingering thought:
Would the two greatest rivals finally be in one team?
"You're joining soccer this year, yeah?" Brent asked his best friend, who was still double-checking the paperwork for the said festival.
The two are currently inside the eldest Desmond's room, waiting for time to pass before they enter their class. It was still early in the morning and they were already ready for school.
"Of course," absentmindedly replied by Demetrius. The male then put the final stack of paper in a clean folder and placed it inside his bag. "I'll also join the academic category."
"Ugh, this is why I sometimes hate you. You know, Mom said I should also join the arts category because of you!" whined Brent. "'If Demetrius could do two competitions, so could you!' she says."
"You do have a talent in art, I don't know why you're holding yourself back."
"Yeah, but those are sketches. It's different when it comes to actual competitions!"
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Young Master, your father is on the phone."
"Be right there," Demetrius replied. He stood and walked towards the door. "Oh, and to end this conversation, don't lie to me, Brent. I saw the portrait of Lynn inside of your room last week."
"Fuck! When did you-"
Demetrius closed the door on him.
Taking the phone from his butler, he greeted his father.
"Have you seen the news?"
His brows furrowed. "No, I haven't I was just preparing for-"
"Louis was taken last night. His car was found near his subdivision but there wasn't any traces of him or clues to know who or where he is."
"What?!"
"Don't worry about it. I'll handle it, just do what you need to do," Donovan said on the phone.
"But why would anyone target Louis?" Demetrius asked nervously. Of course, he'd be nervous, he was just with the chemist yesterday then suddenly, his car would be on the news without its owner's body?!
"What have I told you about asking these things? Look, Demetrius, just focus on your task. Trust me, nothing will happen to you and your brother. I called you because I wanted to inform you that what the police found are the test results that (Y/N) kid requested. It will be delivered to you very shortly."
The call ended.
"Hey, bud, ya good?"
He only looked at his friend before making his way to his room to take his things. Walking out of his room, he walked passed Brent who immediately followed him to the campus.
