Hello. It's been some time since I last updated this story, and truth be told, I wasn't planning on returning until I finished the whole thing. (Spoiler: I'm still far from finished.) But after writing for a year without any stress of releasing something in a timely manner, I've come to realize that I took the easy way out. Yes, my writing was bad when I felt rushed, but rather than adapting to the pressure, I just folded and decided to write at my own pace. For leisurely writing, I think that's fine, but if I want to truly make something out of my writing (long shot, I know), I need to evolve. I need the push that a deadline gives. Plus, back then, I was debating whether or not I even wanted to continue writing stories. When you've been doing it for ten years without much momentum, you tend to get a bit burnt out.

But just as I was about to throw it all away, I gradually started to figure out my formula. I know what it takes to get my words on a page. Like I said, I just need the shove to do it, and I think the pressure of releasing in a timely manner will get me closer to where I want to be. Sorry for not finishing the whole story. (Although, I do have stuff actually planned ahead this time around. And a good chunk of chapters I just need to edit.) That being said, while I didn't get an insane amount of writing done, I did delve deeper into the craft. I now understand what it means to be a good story—good lore, good plot devices. I know how arcs should look. I think, as arrogant as it sounds, I had the form down, but the substance was what I was lacking. I have new tools at my disposal, and I'm excited to try them here.

Now, onto one of the main characters in this story—a certain lunar dragon. I'm not gonna go much into detail about what happened to her—just that it broke my heart to learn about it. She's one of my heroes, my inspirations. No one deserves to be treated like that, and it's safe to say she ended on a bad note (at least with that life). Ultimately, I've decided to keep her in here, and with this story, I'd like to give her the ending she deserves. I hope you understand.

With all that being said, I present to you (partially) Melody of the Holoverse done right. (Or wrong. Whether this story is good or complete garbage, it's mine, and I'll stick with it to the very end.)

Enjoy :)

I.J.
