You went to the other bathroom to freshen up and changed into your nightclothes, whatever felt most comfortable to you. Kakavasha had already swapped into his own pyjamas from the laundry, and together you made your way towards the bed.

Some might wonder, 'Are we really going to sleep in the same bed?' But in this universe, you both had already shared a bed numerous times, always with a pillow serving as a divider. It had become a normal part of your routine, though neither of you could quite explain why.

"Are you feeling shy about sharing a bed with me?" you teased Kakavasha as you settled in.

"We used to cuddle for warmth, remember? And you said you didn't mind," he replied, his tone light.

"Nah, I'm sure there's a crowd cheering for us right now, don't you think?" you quipped.

"Who would that be?" he asked, amused.

"Us! Your various y/n's," you said with a grin.

"So many admirers? That's news to me," Kakavasha chuckled.

You patted the empty space beside you and offered him a smile. He slowly joined you under the covers, but before you could say anything, he placed a pillow firmly between you.

"Come on, man! Some people might be disappointed now," you joked.

"Just in case you decide to roll over or something. You're known to be a cuddler in your sleep, y/n," Kakavasha teased back.

"A pillow won't stop me, but don't call me out like that," you replied with a laugh.

You both settled in comfortably, exchanging light banter as you got comfortable under the covers. Suddenly, as if remembering something important, Kakavasha's expression shifted.

"Oh, by the way, we have that office thing tomorrow," he said, a hint of concern in his voice.

Your own eyes widened as you recalled the impending workday. "Right, completely slipped my mind," you admitted sheepishly.

Kakavasha nodded, "Yeah, I was thinking since you're not feeling well, maybe you should come in later, in the afternoon. Give yourself some extra rest."

You sighed in relief, grateful for his consideration. "That sounds like a plan. Thanks for looking out for me," you said, feeling touched by his thoughtfulness.

"Of course, anything for my favorite co-worker," he replied with a playful grin.

You chuckled, feeling a warmth in your chest at his words. "Well, in that case, I'll take you up on that offer. Extra sleep is always a good idea," you said, settling further into the bed.

"Hey, speaking of tomorrow, Diamond requested to meet with me alone," you mentioned, a hint of uncertainty in your voice.

Kakavasha raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Really? That's interesting. And for me?"

"Jade asked to speak with you alone," you replied, noticing a flicker of surprise in Kakavasha's eyes.

"Hmm, wonder what that's about," he mused, clearly intrigued by the separate requests.

"Yeah, me too," you agreed. you reached for your AirPods, intending to drown out the world with music from your playlist. Kakavasha glanced over with a curious expression as you inserted them into your ears.

"What are you listening to?" he asked, a hint of interest in his voice.

"Just some tunes to help me relax," you replied casually, scrolling through your playlist.

He nodded in understanding, turning to get comfortable himself. As the music filled your ears, you found yourself lost in the melodies, each song evoking different emotions and memories. Some reminded you of moments shared with Kakavasha, while others transported you to imaginary worlds where you were the protagonist.
