short chapter im sorry...ALSO ANGST INCOMING! AVENTURINE IS GONNA BE A STUPIDO IN FEW CHAPTERS AND Y/N IS DONE WITH THE FRIEND CAP

Aventurine's gaze bore into Mr. Uzami's, their eyes locked in a silent duel, the tension palpable. Uzami's smirk only fueled the intensity of the moment as he raised a challenging eyebrow at Aventurine.

"What say you, boy? Ready to play? It's not going to be that hard."

"Give us a minute, please." With a firm grip, you pulled Aventurine by his collar to a secluded spot.

"I am going to do it... Don't stop me. You can go home if you want."

"Hey... It's okay. I won't stop you, but I'll take you up on your offer."

"What—? The fling one? It was a joke; you should go home."

"Please... You need a luck charm. I'm sure you could win your way, but a little extra luck never hurt."

Aventurine shook his head stubbornly. "No, I can handle this on my own. You don't need to get involved."

You flashed him a playful smile, leaning in closer. "But where's the fun in that? Besides, a little flirtation never hurt anyone, right?" Your tone was teasing, inviting him to play along.

Aventurine raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Flirtation, huh? Well, if you're offering, I suppose I could use all the help I can get."

With a mischievous glint in your eye, you leaned even closer, your breath mingling with his. "Then it's settled. Let's give Mr. Uzami a show he won't forget."

Aventurine chuckled softly, the tension easing between you. "Lead the way, then. Show me your charm."

Meanwhile..

"Darling, Why are we doing this? I mean that girl did what you wanted to do..Removing your sister out of the picture."

"I heard that blonde brat is a good gambler This is just a fun match and for extra luck I brought you here."

After you both arrived. The guy set everything up and what seems like his girlfriend sitting on his lap. "Don't mind my lucky charm. We are just lovers."

You couldn't help but chuckle at his audacious move, playing along as you nestled closer to him. "Well, well, it seems I've been upgraded to lucky charm status. I'll take it."

Aventurine flashed you a playful wink, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Absolutely. With you here, we're practically unstoppable."

The man overseeing the game chuckled at the two of you. "Now, let me explain the rules in detail. We'll take turns drawing cards from each other and discarding matching pairs. The one left holding the joker at the end loses... but there's a twist. If both players end up with jokers, a question will be posed. Whoever bets on the correct answer wins. And if both bet correctly, it's the one with the highest bet who takes the prize."

Playing this game was a mistake.

You have a horrible luck for gambling. Aventurine gets a joker he sighs but still plays it.

With determination, Aventurine announced his bet, and the game proceeded with bated breath. But just as the answer was revealed to be option A, a sinking realization washed over you both.

"Mr. Aventurine? Do you have a joker? Because I do too... So here for the questions," Mr. Uzami declared, a smirk playing on his lips.

As the question was posed and both you and Aventurine found yourselves holding jokers, the tension in the room reached a fever pitch. With a resigned sigh, Aventurine leaned in close to discuss your strategy.

"Let's bet 1 million credits. Surely this is good, right?" he whispered urgently.

"Yeah, do it!" you replied with a nod, trying to remain confident despite the sinking feeling in your gut.

Your heart sank as you realized the trap that had been laid. Both the girlfriend and the man had played a 360-degree move, betting on the same answer and effectively doubling the stakes to 2 million credits.

You couldn't contain your frustration as you shouted, "This is cheating!"

But before you could protest any further, the couple calmly added a new rule to the game: now, everyone could bet, not just Aventurine.

Feeling defeated, you exchanged a glance with Aventurine.

Y/n's pov

I don't want to do the next round...I'll be straightfoward with myself.

What's the point? He still wants to do it. But, these people pull cheap tricks if this was just a normal one..He would have won.

The man laughs at him being lucky...lucky is something he didn't like. Those people used to think he was blessed with luck by their goddess...It can said as Religious trauma.. he's had and how it made him resent the good luck he's been blessed with. like, a child hearing over and over again how blessed you are, just you, but not your loved ones? that's not fair. yet, you're told time and time again that the pain around you is justified by your luck in the future.

Why? Him? His eyes just look dead as dead can be. No hope to live...but he still chose to live for me...to help my dream..

I had to change myself....My way of thinking wasn't that well from the start. I used people's emotions for myself. Lying to myself it's okay to hurt people that hurt you.

But cause of my messed way of thinking...We survived...Maybe I survived, Kakavasha would have been good on his own.

That's right. Just a plan..They said I can...bet too. hahaha.... on any of the two choice. Which means

I can bet on any choice I want even if Aventurine choses the other right? Hhahahahaha! I will just have choose!

THAT CHOICE.
