The Day Wasn't Bad

Naruto still did not complete the tree climbing exercise, but he decided to call it a day. He has already crossed three branches and walked up almost three quarters of the tree. It has been hours since he started with this excercise, his jiji, now Sensei showed him. He felt a bit dissapointed. But since he felt his chakra depleting, he stopped.

Over the six months that he had known Kurama for, he became an amazing friend and would help Naruto with things here and there. He would also meet Sasuke and Itachi- ni sometimes and train with them. He was quite good with the shurikens and kunais and so was Sasuke. They became quite good friends and would often be seen together.

His life has been great.

Now Naruto was heading towards his apartment when he heard some kids bullying someone. He went there to see that their was a girl with white eyes his age being bullied by three older kids. He rushed in there and stood in front of the girl.

"Hey leave her alone." said Naruto.

"Coming here to play the hero, huh?" said one of the older kids while the other two laughed. "Why would you try to protect that white eyed freak?"

"We will beat you as well if you want..." said another one with a devious smile on his face.

"You should leave. I don't want to hurt you." said Naruto in a firm voice.

The older kids just laughed at that.
"We will see how you are going to hurt us. A shorty like you will not be able to land a single hit on us."

Naruto readied himself as one of the boys launched at him. Naruto ducked and then punched the boy who fell some distance away from him.
While that boy was trying to get up another one attacked Naruto. Putting his taijutsu practice in good use, Naruto defeated that boy as well. The third one, rushed towards Naruto, furious at him for this embarrassing and humiliating moment.He was closely followed by the other two.

Naruto took a deep breath and calmed himself as he got ready for the upcoming fight. He knew that even if they were attacking him blindly, they were still older and somewhat stronger He engaged with them in a fight while trying to find a blind spot.

Finally he was able to show them their place as he defeated them utterly. The boys were hurt, but it was their pride which hurt more. Still they left. Not wanting to get a beating again.

Naruto rushed towards the girl.

"Are you alright?" asked Naruto concerned.

The girl nodded as she stood up.
Naruto sighed in relief.

"That's good. What's your name by the way?"

"I-I am Hi-hinata H-hyuga." she said introducing herself. "T-t-thanks for s-saving me." She said as she bowed her head. "B-but could you t-tell me your n-name?"

Naruto smiled at that as he scratched the back of his head. "It's Naruto Senju. Sorry for not telling it earlier. I kinda forgot."
