"I-I am Hi-hinata H-hyuga." she said introducing herself. "T-t-thanks for s-saving me." She said as she bowed her head. "B-but could you t-tell me your n-name?"

Naruto smiled at that as he scratched the back of his head. "It's Naruto Senju. Sorry for not telling it earlier. I kinda forgot."

Now....

Flashback...

"Jiji! Good morning!" chirped Naruto as he burst into the Hokage Office.

"Good morning to you as well, Naruto kun. What brings you here today now?" asked Sandaime looking up from his paper work.

"Well... You know now that I have unlocked chakra a long time ago... and since I am doing physical training for the last few months and also improved my aim with the kunai and shuriken that you taught me last month... and that I have completed the leaf balancing exercise... and... so jiji- I mean Sensei, please teach me a jutsu now, please." finished Naruto looking at Hiruzen with pleading eyes.

Hiruzen didn't answer immediately. He thought, 'He has been progressing in an amazing rate. He has already gotten the basics. His taijutsu skills have reached genin level and would only improve as he grows since he lacks strength. I suppose it's time to teach him the basic three as well as some low rank elemental jutsus.'

"Jiji..." Naruto called out in a pleading tone bringing Sarutobi out of his musings.

After another moment of silence...
"I suppose I can teach you jutsus now." said Sarutobi with a smile.

Naruto jumped around, "Yay! I am gonna be learning jutsu now. Thanks Sensei."

The Next Day...

Naruto goes to the Hokage training ground as he was told to at around 6 o' clock. He finds his sensei waiting for him.

"Good morning, jiji- sensei." he greeted.
Naruto was in a great mood. He felt like jumping around with joy. But he didn't do that as he was quite tired yesterday that he didn't have the energy to do anything as he jumped onto his bed. He was taught two jutsus and now he will learn about his elemental affinity.

"Good morning Naruto. Now that you have arrived let us start with 5 laps around the ground. Get started now."

"Yes sir."

After a while...

A panting Naruto, after completing his warm-up, said, "I have completed it."

"Now then, let us find your affinity." said Sarutobi.

Naruto felt like he gained all his energy back. He straightened up as a smile appeared on his face.
Sarutobi took out a slip of paper as he said, "Naruto, this is chakra paper. As you may know,-"
"Chakra comes in the form of five basic elements - Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning. They are so vital to the shinobi lifestyle that each of the Five Great Shinobi Countries is named after one of the five. Each element is naturally weaker than and stronger than another:

Fire (火, Hi) is strong against Wind but weak against Water.
Wind (風, Kaze) is strong against Lightning but weak against Fire.
Lightning (雷, Kaminari) is strong against Earth but weak against Wind.
Earth (土, Tsuchi) is strong against Water but weak against Lightning.
Water (水, Mizu) is strong against Fire but weak against Earth." said Naruto interrupting Hiruzen.

"Right." said Sarutobi picking up from there, but not before a smile gracing.
"Since you know that, I will continue from there. These, when you channel your chakra in it, will tell your affinity. The chakra paper reactions are as follows:

Fire: The paper will catch on fire and turn into ash.

Wind: The paper will split in half.

Lightning: The paper will wrinkle.

Earth: The paper will turn to dirt and crumble away.

Water: The paper will become damp."

He then let that sink in.

" I will now show you how to do it."

Naruto watched with his unaltered attention as his sensei channelled his chakra into the paper.
The paper first caught fire, then wrinkled on the other side and then damped.

"Wow sensei! So you have three affinities?" asked Naruto.

"I do. But I am equally proficient in all of them." said Hiruzen as he handed another one to Naruto. "Now, it's your turn."

Naruto took the paper and carefully channelled his chakra into it.
What followed was something unexpected.

...

First the paper split into a number of parts some of which crumbled and some of which damped and at the end a part of it wrinkled.

To add to all of these, as the paper fell on the ground, a small sapling sprouted.

Hiruzen's eyes widened as he let out only one word, "Wood Release."
