"Advika Sarisha Elizabeth, I need to see you in my office after class today," her university lecturer said sternly.

As the class drew to a close, she packed her bag carefully, making sure she had all the necessary notes and materials. However, as she stepped out of the classroom, a group of girls were waiting for her outside. Before she could react, one of them lunged forward and grabbed Advika 's bag, pulling her aside with a force that caused her to wince in pain. The sudden attack left Advika feeling shaken and vulnerable, unsure of what was to come next.

Bethany, one of the girls from the group demanded, "Where is my homework, fatso?"

Advika reached into her bag and pulled out a file with a sense of purpose. She handed it over to Bethany, who received it with a nod. Suddenly, one of the girls approached Advika and threw her bag on the floor with a mean-spirited look, trying to intimidate her. The sound of the bag hitting the ground echoed through the room, drawing the attention of those nearby. However, Bethany quickly intervened to prevent the situation from escalating any further.

"We don't want any unwanted attention, Casie. Let her go, for now," Bethany warned Casie, pulling her away quickly.

"You're lucky this time, Advika . There won't be a next time," Casie sneered at Advika angrily before walking away.

Advika wasn't sure why Casie was angry at her when all she did was help them with their homework for free. Advika was a bit heavier, with a round face and big glasses perched on her nose. Her short hair framed her chubby cheeks perfectly, and her kind eyes sparkled behind the lenses of her glasses.

Advika 's heart was pounding as she quickened her pace towards the principal's office. She reached the door and hesitated for a moment before knocking.

"Come in," the principal's voice called out from within.

Advika took a deep breath and pushed the door open, stepping inside the room. The principal was seated at his desk, poring over some papers, but he looked up as soon as Advika entered.

"Ah, Advika . Please take a seat," he said, gesturing towards a chair opposite his desk.

Advika sat down nervously, her hands clasped together tightly in her lap. The principal regarded her for a moment before speaking again.

"I've heard some concerning reports from your lecturer about your academic performance," he said, his tone serious.

Advika 's heart sank. She knew that she had been struggling to keep up with her studies lately, but she had hoped that she could turn things around.

"I'm sorry, sir," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I'm sure you are," the principal said, his expression stern. "But sorry isn't going to cut it. You need to start taking your studies more seriously, Advika . Your future depends on it."

Advika nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat. She knew that the principal was right, but she didn't know how to make things better. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of expectations and pressure, and she didn't know how to stay afloat.

The principal regarded her for a moment longer before speaking again, "I'm going to arrange for you to meet with a tutor, Advika . Someone who can help you get back on track with your studies. But you need to promise me that you'll put in the effort and do your part."

Advika nodded again, feeling a glimmer of hope in her chest. Maybe this was the lifeline she needed to turn things around.

"I promise, sir," she said, her voice stronger this time.

The principal nodded, satisfied, "Good. I'll arrange everything and let you know the details soon. But in the meantime, I want you to know that I believe in you, Advika . You have so much potential, and I know that you can succeed if you put your mind to it."

Advika felt a surge of gratitude towards the principal. She had been feeling so lost and hopeless, but his words gave her a glimmer of hope. Maybe she could turn things around after all. Advika left the principal's office, carrying her bag behind her back. As she walked down the stairs of the university's main entrance, she noticed a sketchbook lying untouched on the floor. Curious, she picked it up and began to slowly look through its pages.

After Advika lifted the sketchbook off the floor, she was immediately captivated by the bizarre and unsettling drawings within it. The pages were filled with intricate sketches of monstrous starfish aliens, each one more nightmarish than the last. The creatures appeared as a twisted fusion of cosmic horrors and otherworldly wickedness, their tentacles squirming with an otherworldly threat, their pulsating bodies oozing a sickly green fluid that seemed to glow ominously on the faded paper.

Advika shuddered as she turned the pages, feeling a cold chill crawl down her spine at the sight of the horrible beings depicted in such vivid detail. The artist's skill was undeniable, each drawing capturing the essence of horror and malevolence with a disconcerting precision that made her skin crawl. The starfish aliens seemed to leap off the page, their haunting eyes boring into her soul, as if they were alive and watching her every move.

As she studied the drawings further, Advika noticed a shadow fell across the white pages, casting a dark veil over the space where she stood transfixed. Advika 's heart pounded in her chest as she looked up and saw a figure looming in the doorway, obscured by the dim light filtering in from outside. The silhouette was tall and handsome and she could recognize the owner of the sketchbook.
