Akito felt tears falling down his cheeks and dripping down onto the cold bedsheets on top of him.

"Why did I let them meet?!" He sobbed, angrily trying to wipe his eyes.

(Y/n) and Akito were childhood best friends. The pair would do everything together and were inseparable. Everyone always assumed the pair would marry each other in the future due to these strong bonds. Yet, one day Akito met Toya and asked him to be his singing partner, to which the latter agreed. It wasn't until a month later where Akito decided to introduce (Y/n) and Toya to each other. The orange haired man recalled the day Toya's gray eyes beamed and shined when he first saw (Y/n) and introduced himself in a somewhat more ecstatic tone. Those eyes should have signaled him that fate was going to shift and change, but he didn't realize it until years later when everyone was in high school.

"Hey Akito, I want to ask you something," (Y/n) smiled with a light blush on their face as they were adjusting the tie on their high school uniform.

Akito was caught off-guard by their blush, but grins before saying, "What, you gonna confess to me or something~?"

They pouted at him and slapped his shoulder gently.

"No, but it is a topic about love," they sighed. They took Akito's warm hands into theirs before taking a deep breath.

"I think I'm in love with someone. I just don't know how to confess to them yet. What should I do?" They asked with a hint of nervousness stuck in their throat.

Akito was stunned by their words. Why were they telling him this all of the sudden? He didn't understand, unless...

"Are you planning on confessing to someone I know?" Akito questioned them while raising an eyebrow.

They seemed stunned at Akito's question, but after a few seconds, they nodded gently with a crimson red face. Akito felt a pang in his chest after he saw them nod. After all, Akito had a crush on them for the longest time, but was too much of a coward to confess.

"Who is it?" Akito asked after a moment of silence between them.

No words escaped out of (Y/n)'s lips. They were wondering what would happen to their friendship with Akito if they did spill the name of their crush.

"Tell me. I'm your best friend, right? You can tell me anything," Akito whispered before placing his hands on their shoulders, to which the other flinched.

"I-It's..." They hesitated before saying, "It's Toya."

The world around Akito spun as he heard the name of his band partner. Why out of all the people in the world would it be Toya when he has been with them for way longer?  What a coward he was, for not confessing much earlier. But maybe, just maybe, if he says it now, then there is a chance of acceptance.

"(Y/n), are you sure? You want to confess to him?"

Ah, it looks like he is still a coward. He can't even say three simple words, all because he fears rejection from the other.

"Yeah? Why? Oh, I know! Were you planning on confessing your feelings to me~?" They teased the orange-haired boy, to which the latter was now a blushing mess.
