ROARING SILENCE filled with heavy deep breaths together with their shivery hands and wet palms. Looking at this people at the other side of the big hall made the side of my lips rose up as we waited for the final verdict to come.
A man sitting together with the authorities who was eyeing on every move he makes silently look at the woman next to me. The girl was same as the other people in this room that has shivery hands as we waited for the moment that will create a smile on my face. She kept looking at the floor as her mind flew up to the air. The guy was waiting for her to look at his direction, yet she didn't. I looked at his eyes when he took a glance at the woman's shoulder. And in an instant the anticipation in his eyes was lost as soon as he saw how the side of my lips rose up.
He just looked away as his lips became pale upon looking at my smirk.
That's f-cking right. The only right thing that he did was to avoid my gaze before I could even swallow him alive. Does he really expect my client to even look at him after what he did?? What an asswh°le.
"The defendant has been charged with..." There was a long pause. The woman beside me was still looking at the ground as she tried to hear those words and finally hear the word. "Guilty"
I couldn't help but to create a smile on my lips as I saw how her eyes lit up with joy and a sense of longing for the word "justice" in her dark eyes earlier. I placed my palm on her shoulder that made her took a glance at me with her watery eyes.
"You're wife will be in peace now. She now have the justice that she deserved" The sleepless nights that this woman had for almost several months has finally come to an end. We finally fought successfully against the man who k*lled her wife in front of her. A man who's so obsessed with her wife despite of knowing that they are a lesbian couple who's already married.
Her wife's death was so brutal and because of it I made sure that what he'll experience next will be as brutal as he did.
After my unfinished works, I finally head out to the parking lot. The moment I spotted my cherry red car, I instantly took my keys from my red handbag and was about to get inside. When suddenly, a someone grabbed my arms and pull me closer to her body. She gripped on my arms aggressively. I can feel her nails burried into my skin as held it tighter while looking into my eyes with burning glances.
"How dare you do that to my husband?!!" She yelled in anger. But I just pushed her away from me. I'm just doing my job, ma'am" I muttered without any tone, I pushed her away with all my strength that made her sat on the cold ground.
"Your Job???!! You immigrant deserve to go to jail not my husband!!" She yelled.
What is her problem ba? Kasalanan ko bang siraulo yung magaling niyang Asawa para gawin ang krimen na yon? Kasalanan ko bang ito ang trabaho ko? Gosh this lady is on another level!
"Be careful with your words ma'am, I am a lawyer and my stay here is legal.” I muttered without any hint of tone in my voice. I took a silent glance at her as I slowly offered my palm for her to help her from getting up. But she just brushed it away and stand on her own.
“You will pay for this!” inis niyang asik na sinuklian ko na lamang ng isang marahan na ngiti.
“As I’ve said, madame. I’m just doing my job. And your husband will pay for what he did to my client’s wife.” Her glances became even more sharp as I said those words.
“That is life, Ma’am. You created a mistake? Learn from it. You did nothing? You’ll receive nothing. You created a crime?” my smile grew wider. “Rot in prison.” I added with a chuckle.
“If you wanna join your husband then be my guest, slap me more and I’ll slap you while you’re inside a prison.”
I wanna f-cking show her that she slapped the wrong person. I was about to get close to her, showing my dominance against her. but suddenly.
