"Well hello Kitty Kat," Kat found herself inviting Shawn into her apartment. Chandler was going to kill her once he found out.

"Um... did you want anything? Soda? Beer?"

"I'll take a beer." Kat went to the fridge and got Shawn a beer. She still held her soda can in her hand, trying to calm the shaking she felt. She let out a breath and put her soda in front of her on the coffee table.

"Why are you here, Shawn?" Kat winced when her voice cracked.

"I've come to get you back." Kat looked at him. His eyes sparkled, his blonde hair was swooped to one side. He looked as attractive as Kat remembered.

"Shawn--"

"No. Don't say anything. I was wrong to cheat on you, especially with your best friend. I know you must hate me, but if you give me another chance, I won't mess it up. I'll do it right this time. I'll ask your brother for your hand and it'll be you. You and only you. I won't stop until I get you back because you were the best thing to ever happen to me. I'll be a wonderful husband and I love you. I always have and I always will. Please, Kat. I'll do anything."

Kat pursed her lips. Four years. He hadn't talked to her for four years. She'd been heartbroken for four years... and here he was, asking... no, begging for a second chance.

"Aren't you with Lisa now?"

"I broke up with her not long after second year started." Shawn took a swig of beer. "I kept thinking about you. How I'd hurt you, how you deserved so much better then me... and then... I wanted to ask you before... but... I mean, you were so hurt, I'd been so bad to you and I-- I just knew--"

Kat put her hand up to stop him. She stood up and took his beer from him, placing it on the table behind her. "I will give you another chance." She said. He looked up at her, and stood up to kiss her.

Kat's memories and feelings for him flooded back. She leaned into his kiss while he put his hands in her hair, she put hers behind his neck. Too soon, he pulled away.

"This time, I'm going to do it right so... Katherine Annie Bing," Shawn took her hands in his, "Will you go on a date with me?"

"Yes."

Kat bit her nails nervously as she walked across the hall to Monica and Rachel's apartment. She knew Phoebe was staying there that night and she needed some advice. Kat knocked and Monica answered.

"Hey, Kat!" Monica ushered her in, then seeing the look on her face, she frowned. "What's wrong?" Monica led Kat to the couch, Kat sat down and so did Rachel and Monica. Phoebe sat on the floor in front of her.

Kat took a deep breath and told her friends everything.

"He cheated on you with your best friend and you want to get back together with him?" Rachel shrieked. Kat put her head in her face.

"I know! I know! But you don't know him like I do. He's so sweet, and ever so sexy. When he tells you he loves you, you know he really means it... maybe I'm foolish for forgiving him... but we were happy once... we could be happy again... y'know?"

Monica took Kat's hand in hers. "Look Kat, I want you to be happy, I do... but think realistically, Chandler hated him before you guys got married... why would you repeat that? Is Chandler really going to accept this guy now because you love him again?" Kat frowned and Monica went on. "From the sound of it, he's not a great guy. No great guy marries you then divorces you the second you reach your destination."

"He wasn't ready." Kat shook her head. "I wasn't ready. We were so young then... new to the world... we couldn't handle the pressures of married life... but we're grown now... y'know? I mean, hell, I was seventeen when we got married. I'd just graduated from high school."

Monica squeezed Kat's hand. "Alright. If this is what you want, then I'll support you. But Chandler--"

Kat's head snapped up. She turned to the girl, her eyes pleading, "Please don't tell Chandler. He'd freak if he found out! He can't know... not right now... later maybe... but not right now!"

"Alright," Monica agreed while Kat laid her head down on Monica's shoulder. "I promise I won't tell Chandler."

"Me too." Rachel promised, taking Kat's other hand in hers and squeezing it.

"I can't promise anything." Phoebe said. "I don't know how to keep secrets."

Kat smiled at the blonde. "It's okay Pheebs, at least you're being honest about it."

Kat stood over the Twister board.

"Okay Monica," Ross spun the wheel, "Right foot, red."

Monica scoffed. "Could've played Monopoly but noooo!"

There was a knock on the door. Chandler opened it and the man at the door silently handed him a cushion.

"Thanks." Chandler sounded confused.

"Ross, freaking turn the wheel!" Kat shouted.

"Okay, Kat: Right hand blue." Kat bent over, feeling eyes on her butt and heard Ross say, "Good."

The phone rang and Chandler answered it. "Hello?" He addressed Rachel, "Oh, uh, Rachel, it's the Visa card people."

"Oh, okay. Will you take my place?" She stood up.

"Alright. Yes, this is Rachel."

"Nooo!" She grabbed the phone from Chandler who took her place on the mat. "Hello? ...Oh, yeah, no, I know, I--I haven't been using it much. ...Oh, well, thanks, but, I'm okay, really."

"Green. To the green." Ross instructed Chandler.

"To the left, to the left-- aww!" Kat got squashed by her brother.

"Get... off... you..." Kat couldn't breathe enough to insult her brother. Chandler got off and Kat was helped up by Joey.

That night, Kat fell asleep very quickly, dreaming about the date she had that weekend. Second chances could change things right?

She didn't know how very wrong she was.
